I am so happy its Friday. FI and I are going to Charlotte tonight. I'm getting my dress altered, tasting cake, and meeting with our venue. And we are also going to a friend's wedding on Saturday. I can't wait.  Fun weekend ahead for us.  How about yall?

    I'm busy doing the final projects for my FI's suprise 35th birthday party. I knew he was working late last  night so I got busy making the ice cream sandwiches and boiling/shredding the chicken to get some of the prep work done early. Well, about 9pm he sent me a text message. I was so scared when I heard my phone, b/c I thought he was on his way. I had such a mess in the kitchen and knew I was going to get busted. Luckily, he was just being silly and I got everything done and cleaned up before he got home at 1030.

    Today I have to clean up the house and stash all my wedding stuff upstairs.

    The party is Sunday at 2pm. I just hope I can keep the secret until then.

    good morning! don't know how i am going to get through work today- although i am in meetings at 11, 2, and 3, so that will help!

    heading off to morehead city for the weekend after work with my girlfriends! FI is going down to jam in Augusta for the weekend with his old college band. another girlfriend of mine gave me 20349820348 bridal mags, can't wait to be on the beach reading them!

    I was just in Morehead 2 weekends ago!  Hope you have a great time!  Did you hear what happened at Big Rock?

    Good morning! 

    My goal is to get all the boxes put away and do some serious organizing and cleaning. We really need to go through our stuff at some point but I think that will have to be a project for another weekend since FIL is coming this weekend. We have too much random stuff and FI has WAY too many t-shirts I have his dresser drawers that I designated full of his shirts and there is still another full box that is still packed because there is nowhere left to put them! Crazy...I guess that's what you get from 6 years of college and free t-shirts. haha I think we need another closet.

    I'll also be transplanting the herbs and veggies we bought the other day. I'm a little too excited about this. While we're at it we'll be choosing some paint colors...next weekend we'll be painting the apartment!

    Thats great about the birthday party, soounds like something I'd do, except I'd get busted! :o)


    Today I'll be doing an hour of work with the horses and be done for the week and then cleaning for tomorrow and then maybe a nap due to the heat. I wish it wasn't soo hot. I really want to nap in our hammock, but it's in direct heat all day every day!

    Good Morning Ladies!

    Super YAY for this weekend. It's our 1 yr anniversary (where has the time gone!!?!) and the husband has planned a fun weekend. We're heading up to a town a hour towards the mountains, going tubing down 2 rivers and then later going to some super nice restaurant. oh and going to get my present (which I have NO clue about). On Sunday, I'm recreating our dinner from reception and eating some yummy cake!

    HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!  I am so excited for a 4 day stretch/weekend off from work!  Woohoo!  My brother and SIL are renewing their vows tomorrow, so I am helping them get things all set for that today and rehearsal dinner with them tonight.  Then, wedding/vow renewal (whatever you want to call it) tomorrow evening.  Then, Sunday, FI and I are planning on doing some lounging around since we are always on the go.  Should be a good weekend this way....I hope everyone else has a good one, too!

    Good morning! I'm going to the SS office and DMV to start the name-change process today.  I still have wedding thank you notes to write, our house is a mess, and the furniture store called to say that our new end tables are ready to be picked up! Lots to do.

    this is such a shot in the dark, but are you referring to missy and derek by any chance?? that would be such a coincidence!

    Hi all! Still a little new to the NC board so I don't know most of you, but I hope everyone has a great weekend! To those headed to Morehead City, it is beautiful out there on the beach in Atlantic Beach, HAVE FUN! My FI actually lives in Beaufort and works in Morehead City. It is always so great to go there and visit him for a while. I absolutely love it out there!

    My weekend consists of laying in the beach in wilmington(where I live) today. FI is coming home late tonight after work and we are going out on our friend's boat and barbequing saturday night. So excited!

    Hope everyone enjoys themselves!

    Jealous of those of you going or livng at the beach!  MY only time in the sun comes when we are doing yard work (I think I will have to buy a tube top to garden in to get rid of these tan lines!!)  We have no plans and I am excited for that.  I need some down time.

    Our dog had his first encounter with a copperhead last night -- FI took him on a run and came back freaking out because the dog stepped right on top of it laying in someone's front yard down the street.  Luckily it was an adult so it gave a warning strike without actually biting, but we didn't know what we were supposed to look for to see if he got bit, so there was some frantic internet searching!!  I am not native to NC so I know nothing about copperheads-where I come from we have rattlesnakes, so you know when they are going to bite!

    Hey all.

    I'm jealous of your beach plans, too.  It seems like forever since we've been to the beach.

    Copperheads are frightening, glad your dog and FI are ok, Beth.

    Happy FRIDAY!!!  Man, totally jealous of everybody going to the beach or lives at the beach!  My retirement goal is to live at the beach.

    My parents anniversary is this week-end and they spending the week-end at the ritz-carlton in downtown Charlotte, so I am house sitting 4 cats, 2 dogs, and my 92 year old Granny!  And I am actually excited and looking forward to it. I get to spend some time with my granny and my parents have a pool and a kegerator...sweet.  More like a vacay then house sitting!
