How was everyone's weekend?? What are your to do's for the week?

Our weekend was great! Not too much WR, but a nice, relaxing weekend.

My mission this weekend was to find a dress for my shower which is in 2 weeks. My sister , MOH, is throwing my shower as an afternoon tea, and I found the perfect dress for it! I also went out shopping with my mom for her dress for the wedding.

This week we're looking at tuxes and getting ready for family to come into town next week. Can't belive it's all actually starting to happen - so excited!

It was okay. We had our tasting on Saturday and it was delic! Can't wait to have my meal on my wedding day!
I have to finish those frames and get my butt back to the gym as well. I been on a hiatus for a month!

FI and I had the flu last week, so this weekend was just recovering at home. I spent a lot of time working on our invitations. I lost track but I think I probably have just over half done, so that feels like a lot of progress. I also did some online shopping and bought a shower dress and some honeymoon pieces on a splurge. I was planning to re-wear a dress for my shower that I got last year, but I fell in love with a dress at Nordstrom and couldn't resist.

We had a good weekend. FI's car is finally finished. It took 3 weekends working on it with my dad. Originally, it only needed a new clutch and back brakes. They ended up replacing almost the entire front end in addition to that. I got the BM's gifts. Luckily, we have a Coach outlet store close by so the wristlets were much more affordable. The last part of my centerpieces will be delivered today. I'll be putting one together to see how it looks.

This week I need to talk the tux places in town again to make sure on pricing and call the lady who might do my alterations. I also want to get started on making the invitations. I'm kind at a stand still until I get the swatch of the BM dresses. It had to be ordered from the manufacturer because they didn't have any on hand. Once I get that I can get the ribbon for the favor boxes, bouquets, and pick the color of our linens.

My weekend was laid back..didn't do too much, me and FI browsed online for a new venue to have the (we are getting back into planning mode...so geeked ) wedding/reception and get an idea what's out there. since the beginging of the year some places have closed their event section and now were getting more limited which is kinda irritating ! Then we also booked a hotel room for the beg of April to celebrate my bday in Chicago..I'm excited about that !! I'm just about done recovering from my surgery and will be ready to go back to work really soon..I can't wait for that either, I need $$$ lol !

FI and I moved into a new apartment yesterday and it was awful. It was the hottest day of the year so far (82ish), the perfect pool day, and we were hauling furniture up 2 flights of stairs.

Bmore, post a pic of your shower dress! I looked allllllllllll weekend online and in the stores for a shower dress and found squat in the stores. It's almost like it's too early for spring dresses to be out, which was weird. And whoever mentioned Lilly Pulitzer and BHDLN last week... ugh I am so hooked, thanks a lot!

This weekend was very successful, I had my first fitting and FINALLY found a veil!

This week I want to get our crossword puzzles printed, but other than that I don't have much on the agenda. Feeling pretty good!

Weekend was good. We did Pre Cana and started talking about our ceremony. Other than that, nothing else WR because I'm going to have a WR-heavy weekend this coming weekend and don't want to burn out.

Happy Monday!

I had a great weekend. Picked out my ring. Found out FI's (was his dads) is real gold but super light weight and they are going to try and fix it. Picked out tuxes. And my mom found and orderd the jars for my M&M favors and sent out the first shower invites. Oh and I went shopping and found the perfect headband. Its actually two that I will wear together. And was only $12! The ones I was looking at on ETSY were $40. Also got to spend a lot of quality time with FI, which is unusual.

For this week, I have to pick up my veil. And call FMIL to talk guest lists for everything, wedding, shower, and new possible rehearsal dinner.

Nothing incredibly special happened this weekend. I started a bit on the envelope printing, I've got everything set up now I just have to plug in addresses.

FI and I have decided to redecorate! We live in a decent apt.. awesome rent, good location, 3 BR, 2 baths but not very pretty and a terrible kitchen. When we moved here, it was supposed to be temporary since he had already started buying a fancy apt that was in construction. Well the construction went bad, never got finished and he ended up with his money back. Since then we've always been planning to move, but just never did it lol. So we've never decorated or treated the apt like it was for keeps (at least if for a while.) Recently we had a serious plan to move, but with wedding budget on top of us it seems that we won't be moving anymore. We talked about it this weekend, and it's the final decision that we won't be living somewhere else by the time my parents get here for the wedding.

Which means.... time to redecorate and get this place into shape! We discussed changes and plans and I'm excited! We'll need to paint and we already have new furniture that we desperately need, on the way. Also since we live in an apt and don't get a whole lot of space, now I'm starting to focus on organization projects to help maximize our space. For example shelving. Anyway I'm super psyched about these new projects and I apologize in advance for an overload of home decor and organization idea pins on my Pinterest boards haha!

UGH... Monday already??

This week is REALLY busy for me! FI and I are finalizing stuff with the venue tonight. Wednesday, hair appointment. Thursday 2nd BM dress fitting for my MOH's wedding. Hopefully I can squeeze in some gym and tanning sessions this week.

I'm also getting really sick of TK eating and then spitting out posts over and over again. I find myself spending way less time on here lately.

Nati, Have fun redecorating. We're stuck in that limbo as well. We just signed our lease for another year - because with me in school and the wedding and all that - we don't want to buy or rent another place. But at the same time - I don't want to pour a bunch of money into furniture that would look good here but not somewhere else because we'll probably be moving in a year or two.

Our kitchen sucks too. We have NO counter space. We do all the work on the stove-top.

Weekend was great, I went to Dallas to visit my parents. On Friday I went shopping with my mom and G-Ma for something for them to wear to the wedding. Saturday we went to the Mavericks game. Sunday I met up with a friend that I haven't seen in several years. She is engaged also so we went to a bridal show. It was a lot of fun catching up with her, we were best friends from 3 years old up until high school. Just drifted apart since we lived in different cities.

We need to work on songs this week, for both ceremony and reception. I should go ahead and do our slideshow.... but we'll see. Haha.

We're also in the same position, nati. My FI owns a house in Denver that he rents out so no way can we buy again out here, and we're locked in at a good rate so we don't want to find another place to live, but the place needs decorating! I need HGTV over here!

Bright and Meagan, it's funny when I think back.. I realize most places I live in I don't bother to spend much time or effort on because I think "oh this place is only temporary so what's the point" But the truth is, we've been here almost 3 years! And we haven't made any changes, that are very necessary btw, because we "plan to move." It's time to make this place ours and homey while we're here you know? Cuz this kitchen is driving me nuts! I feel your pain Bright, I've got only 3 small cabinets and no place for an oven.. just a stove top. My "counter" is this wobbly bar kind of thing the owner installed before we moved in haha. Once you get HGTV over at your house Meagan, pleaaase send them my way! ;-)

My weekend went by way too fast. This week will go by quickly we have so much work to do at work that I will be there for at lest 14 hours a day Tues, Wed, Thursday. I also will definitely be working Saturday and Sunday. We put a serious offer on a house this morning but there was another offer as well so we should have some news tomorrow! I'm so pumped it has a pool. I'm also going shopping on Sunday with my FG and her mom for her dress.
