  Thanks for the suggestions.  I went the the Bridal show today in Ottawa.  I spoke with the staff of Strathmere and thinking of booking with them.  I've been there for a wedding a couple years back and their food is great!

  I've also verbally agreed to hire Kevin Daly Photography.  We're meeting next week to sign the contract.  He's offering 30% off and more off if you refer a bride.....about 1100 for a 8 hour wedding

  I am in Ottawa as well and also getting married in September 2012! In fact I was also at the bridal show last month

  Strathmere is very pretty and rustic - I've been to a couple weddings there. If you're looking for a cool spot for pics, Mackenzie King Estates is awesome! I did some family shots there before and they are very nice - especially in the fall

  
  

  I've heard some good reviews for Kevin Daly. We are going with Mark Cooper; I met him at the bridal show and was SUPER impressed. He is uber talented!

  
  

  We are having our reception at the National Art Gallery, in the Water Court Foyer; the top of the room lets light in through a pool of water and it reflects off the tiles on the dance floor. SOOO pretty!!

  Hi, I am also an Ottawa Bride...getting married Aug 2012. This venue is not in Ottawa but just over the bridge in Cantley Quebec, it is 15 minutes from King Edward Brigde and it is rustic and very well priced. The link is

  This is the first venue we went to and booked on the spot, here you have everything in one spot which is what we wanted so no one had to worry about driving. Also they are priced really well, we have the venue to ourselves for the entire weekend and can bring in our own alcohol so this will save us big!

  I'm an Ottawa bride too and we have chosen to get married at Strathmere in June 2012. I fell in love with the location right away, the only one I looked at in person. With great reviews, ceremony and reception in one spot and I can get ready there and stay overnight, it was a done deal. Oh it's a 15min drive from where we live, another plus.

  Oh I love strathmere.  It's one stop shopping.  I was there a few months back at a friends wedding.  A great spot for a fall or spring wedding
