Wedding Dream

So, this weekend I had the strangest dream.  It was my wedding day, and I was at the venue.  I looked at my watch and realized it was almost 7:00 pm - our ceremony is supposed to start at 5:00 pm.  My hair was still wet, I had no make-up on, and I couldn't find my dress.  I looked outside and saw everyone just sitting there waiting.  I called my cousin and asked her if she knew where my dress was, and I started crying that after the ceremony was over and everyone ate dinner, time would be up and everyone would have to leave.  But then everything turned out ok, because we told everyone it was just a practice day, and the real event would be taking place tomorrow.  WTH???
Oh, and in real life, we hit a deer in our 8 month old car this past Friday night while driving to my grandpa's house in Grants Pass OR.  Everyone is ok (except for the deer and the car...) - was definitely a scary thing.
Nothing like a little stress in the final weeks of planning.....

AHHHHHHHH the weddingmares!! They are common and not to worry, many brides have them.

What helped me was to recite out loud to myself before going to sleep:
No bad dreams, no bad dreams, no bad dreams. It works. I still do that when I'm under stress or not sleeping well.

I think the unprepared/ unshowered/ no dress/ no food, etc dream is pretty standard.  You put so much effort into the plans, your poor overloaded brain just cries UNCLE and asks for a planning break.
Did you at least get some venison out of that accident?  Ouch! ~Donna

I'm glad you're ok after the accident.  I had those dreams, too...

I had all kinds of weddingmares... It's normal.

Sorry about your accident;  I hit a deer once and know it's a traumatic experience.  Glad to hear everyone is okay - too bad about the car and the deer though.

Yeah, Alpha, I've been saying the "no bad dreams" ever since - seems to be working so far...
Donna - my fi's dad said the same thing "did you at least take out a knife and cut off the back strap???"  I like venison, but, no...
And yes, we are thankful to be ok...the car is in the shop to get repaired (thank you insurance), and hopefully will be done by the wedding.
