Wedding Makeup-how much are you spending?

Just curious for all those Westchester/Hudson Valley brides and how much you have been quoted for hair and make up services?  I dont want to break the bank BUT those photos live on...thoughts?

My best friend got married in June and she used a rep from YSL in the Westchester Mall - the lady came to us at the hair salon, and she charged $55 for eyes, $100 for the whole face. That was for everyone including the bride, so basically $155 for the bride to get her makeup done. I don't know if that's expensive or not because I really haven't gotten around to pricing anyone else out yet... but that's just one perspective for you!

I was a bridesmaid at a wedding where I paid $85 for makeup to be done ($100 after the tip) and it was just too much. I've been quoted around $85 for hair thus far and around $60 for makeup in certain places. I'm just starting that search now actually so I can check back with you in a month or so! Sorry!

I can't remember exactly...I paid b/w 100 and 150 but I am think it was 125.  It was worth the money to me b/c I don't really wear alot of make up and not good at it.

I'm spending a little extra for makeup but I went on 4 different trials and she's the only one I absolutely loved. I'm paying $325 for my own makeup & my BM's are $125 each.

For hair... I'm spending $210 (on me) and paying $190 for my BM's - includes extensions. I'm treating them to hair as part of their gift since I know all of them planned on getting their hair done.

That's nice that you're treating your girls to hair & makeup! I'm going to do the same thing as part of their gift because they are already spending a night at the hotel and getting the dress, so I didn't want them to not get what they wanted in terms of hair and makeup in the end!

<div>I'm only doing hair - makeup is optional (they can do their own if they want but I know they'll wind up using my person so she's there if they want to use her). I'd honestly love to pay for both but I have a large wedding party & things do add up. They're more than happy that I offered to pay for hair & I'm going to get them something else too (small though). </div>

My makeup was $75 (pre-tip), and she was phenomenal! She could definitely get away with charging a heck of a lot more than she does.

Wow $75..who did you use? Just started my search!

I used Frann Tatulli. She is Annaliese Tatulli's mother - Annaliese does hair (and she is AMAZING as well!). Between the two of them I have never felt more beautiful in my life.  FYI, Frann does traditional makeup, not airbrushing, but I did an airbrush trial and hated how it came out - so the traditional makeup thing was a plus for me. I have really oily skin and makeup of any kind tends to goop up and melt off, but something that Frann put on my face before she applied my makeup kept me nice and fresh-looking all day long.  My makeup was put on at 7:00 AM and it looked perfect until I washed it off at midnight!  I wanted a natural look - I called it "Me, Plus" - and she got it exactly right without even having to look at sample pictures.  I'd recommend her (and her daughter for hair!) without reservation or qualification.  I don't have any of the pro pics from my big day yet as it was very recent, but here are a few candids:

My eyes are closed in this one, but I thought I'd post it because it shows what Frann did with my eyes (very natural eyeshadows and liner, plus full-strip false eyelashes to make things "pop" a little more).

I'm making sort of a stupid face in this one, but you can see my makeup pretty well so I thought it might be helpful to see anyway. ;-)

This one isn't that great of a pic either, but it gives you a sense of how my face looked from a little farther away (i.e. how it will look in the pro pics).

Oh and PS:  $75 with Frann includes false eyelashes.  If you don't want them, she only charges $50!
