Some Wedding Advice

So as you girls know I am not a bride, but I did help plan a wedding this weekend and this is what I came away:

Like the work that your photographer does.

If you are doing a DIY wedding, make sure you Communicate what you want and TALK to your groom so you know what he wants and Compromise on things together.

Don't leave everything till last minute.

Even if people offer to do things for you make sure you have a backup plan.

Realize who is flaky in your life (this sounds terrible but if you know someone is flaky either don't ask them to do something for you or have a backup plan)

Realize how much everyone loves you, and that if they didn't they wouldn't be willing to work so hard for you.

I just thought those would be good ideas for you girls who are on your way to getting married.  It was a real learning experience for me and I learned a lot of things to do or not to do at my own wedding some day.  Hope you girls are having a wonderful week!

Being in weddings, or being the personal attendant in weddings do give you front row seats on things that may be forgotten and pushed off.

Nice reminders!  I love reading advice from posters who have seen other weddings (etc) because sometimes it brings to mind some items I may need to think about one more time, make sure I have a solution for, etc,  that ... and it reminds me that no wedding is perfect, no matter how hard we try to make it that way.  I'm learning to be more relaxed, for sure!!!
