Lanikuhonua info please

Hi I'm new here and interested in having our wedding at lanikuhonua. I read on a blog that they require a wedding planner. Could you give me your best wedding planner and vendors? It seems like there are so many. We r on a budget . Guests about 100. Need it all photographer videographer food hair makeup. Help!!!

Re: Lanikuhonua info please

  • we used Hawaii Weddings and Events and now my BFF is using her, she does alot of events there.
  • Papaya55 - you and I are in the same boat! 100 guests on a budget! I would also like to hear of any suggestions on vendors aside from wedding planners that past Lani brides have used or recommend. I'm trying to determine the total cost to see if we can even have it here. Have you looked at any other venues?

Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks destiny1108 for your recommendation!
  • Yes I also looked at kualoa which is very beautiful....We were considering it because the venue fee is less. Does Anyone have vendor recommendations for lanikuhonua and/or cost estimate of total day off for a wedding there? Have you decided on a wedding planner? Lanikuhonua does require a planner which can be pricey.
  • I believe Lani prices the rental of their grounds on several factors. (1) what day its on (2) the time slot. It'll be cheaper if the event is mon-thurs and more expensive if its fri-sun. There are two time slots the AM or PM. (3) I think it also depends on the time of year and if it falls on a holiday, expect to pay more during the summer and or if it's on a holiday (4) The number of people at the event. I am unsure about the cost for 100 people. My event is on a Friday, PM slot with 150 expected and the cost to rent was close to ~$4200 just for the grounds alone. That does not include insurance which I think costs an additional $50-$100.

They do require a wedding coordinator or planner so thats Ia must. I went with Dianna from Hawaii Wedding & Events and I cant emphasize how popular she is across the board with all vendors. It truly gave me a peace of mind when every vendor I interacted with asked who my coordinator was and I mentioned Dianna and they all said oh you're in very good hands. The woman truly knows what she is doing and is great at it!

If you are serious about Lani, I suggest booking asap. This place seems to book up pretty fast and the popular phase to book is phase II though mine is phase I. You can book up to 14 months in advance and they ask for 50% as a deposit up front.
