Videographer for under $500ish

Does anyone know of any videographers who are on the lower price scale? I'm not looking for a huge production but I also don't want it to look like someone just set up a camera in the back of the room and hit record (because I can easily do that!). I looked at pictureperfect I believe, but they didn't have any samples and I'm not really interested in a company unless I can see some of their work first. Also, is under $500 realistic? Ideally I'd like to stick around $300 but I understand I'm planning a wedding and nothing is ideal!

Also, anyone who has had a videographer, did you feel like it was weird having someone follow you all day? The idea of it seems kind of odd to me!

$300 is way too low, unless you only want your ceremony covered. A lot of people think "why would I pay so much for someone to be there for 1 day?"....but, you have to think of all the equipment and hours editing, gas (which is outrageous!), travel time, etc. If you find somebody to do a whole day for $300, just remember, you get what you pay for.

mine was 600 dollars just for the video and they do 2 people there and they do the whole day from start to finish. We have not had our wedding but the video they showed us was great and the pictures were just as amazing. Picture Perfect Potraits.

We booked one another Knottie recommended for around that, but their prices have gone up since last year. I think they charge $700 for all day service with 2 HD cameras. If you're interested let me know and I can send you their info.

I'm not sure how much time you want, but True Video has an a la carte option that you pay $250 a hour.  We went that route and our video is option.
