I was very suprised yesterday and had my shower. The whole wedding party did it together using mom's house and it was Jack and Jill and a big surprise. FI new about it and feigned going to work yesterday. They were all at mom's yesterday setting up since 9 am for a 2pm shower.
Mom hired a band and I had a ton of people show up. All my male friends loved being included. I kept hearing from them "This is the best ever! Everyone should have Jack and Jills. We will know more people at the wedding."
It's exactly as I wanted. I'm not a frilly girl. I love more casual and it was more then I could of expected.
I just showed up. Kiddie poo; in back was full of beers. Kids were allowed and they were not pleased to find beer in the little pool. The got hooked up with the sprinkler in the front yard though. LOL

FI was embarrassed about wearing the hat, but he was outnumbered.
So now with that, I need to ask, as I will be writing thank yous today.... I received a lot of cash gifts. I didn't ask for cash. My family has all known about the planning for 2 years and has known I was laid off twice in 1 year and had to make a lot of budget cuts on the wedding and had to change HM plans to find something more affordable.
So my question is, how shall I thank people for the monatary gifts? FYI, I did get a Lot of my resistry too and a few gift cards to BBB. FI wants to go get the rice cooker like right now. He's the cook.
