Well I finally got the ring ! I've been waiting since about Aug. I had a feeling he had it , had some jobsituations happen and now here we are !
And to the nay sayers that got on me about pre-planning and "what if i dont get the ring " Let the record show that I was not BSC ....
We had been making plans for about a year and like I said job situations came up and gave us some downs putting the proposal off... But with his permission we make small inquires and small purchases towards the wedding before having the ring.
So tonight we were looking at venues and it is a few days before the 2 year anniversary of our first date , I was texting his sister asking about what she knew about the venue we were at she texted " Do u have the ring ?" I said this to him joking and he says "Oh you mean this one ??? " I just about fell over I had NO idea he had it on him ..[texted my FSIL back and said yes....]. Then the chef came in to meet with us and he put it back in his pocket !!!! I had to wait at least 15 minutes till we were done talking to the chef to step outside /leave ..Meanwhile I had his sister txting and wanting to know details... haha ... So we step away from the club/venue and they had a nice walkway outside the door and I looked at him like OMG is it time NOW ?? So he gets down on one knee and says a few things and of course the major question ...
I txt everybody and my mother literally and I get the same " It's about time !"
We get home and his Nanny is there [she has dementia ] and I start relaying the story to my FIL.. Nanny says " What is going on you are being too loud what the hell is going on ??? " I just about die laughing at the poor lady and show her the ring .. She stops and says " Oh that's PRETTY !!! " .... Then we explaine I'm going to be marrying her grandson and she says " Oh well he's a good one " ....
Theres my story ... what seems like a million years later ....
And today is my grandpa's birthday and the anniversary of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan ... ;p
