Rolling Greens Wedding??

Hi all!

Just realized I may not have ever introduced myself. My FI and I are currently residing up in Albany but we're from NJ  so we're currently looking for someplace in the middle (hudson valley area). We've been engaged for about 3 months and are looking for an Aug or Sept '12 wedding. We just visited Rolling Greens at Dutchess golf & cc and we both fell in love with the room and photography opportunities on site. Just a few questions I was hoping someone can help us with...

1.) Has anyone every been to a wedding/ had their wedding there? Opinions?
2.) How was the food there?
3.) how's that area in Aug/ September? Crowded?? Hotels usually packed?

Since we aren't from the area we don't know anything about Poughkeepsie ( Saturday was the first time we've ever been there), and would love any and all feedback!

    I can let you know in June. We're getting married there May 29th.

    The folks that own PK Grand, Pier 9, and Grandview recently took over the catering there. I go there each year in May for a work fundraiser and it's a great dinner. The place is awesome.

    PK really only gets busy hotel wise in May with the local college graduations being Bard, Marist, Vassar, New Paltz, and Mt. St Mary's. You should be fine in Aug/Sep. Unless you are near the weekend of college kids returning and or coming to school. Most Marist families fill up the hotels near IBM because students live there as well.
