Ring engraving??

FI and I are going to surprise each other by getting something special engraved on the inside of one another's wedding rings.

I'm just curious what those of you who did this had engraved on the inside of your FI's ring.

    We did it secretly, but we each wound up picking a song lyric.

    That's what I'm planning on doing, and I have a feeling he's going to choose the same song and the same line, haha.

    My engagement ring has "Boop" engraved inside of it.  Its a little pet name we call each other.  

    Our wedding rings with have matching inscriptions.  They will say "Forver x-x-11"  (whatever we choose for a date)

    and yes, the "e" is missing and yes, its on purpose

    well we originally wanted to do our initials and wedding date and we each wanted the same engraving.  My grandparents who were married for 60 years had each of their initials and date, so we thought it would be a cute tribute to do the same thing.  But since my ring finger is a little small, and half of my ring had diamonds on it, we could only fit A&D 8-14-09 lol.  We couldn't even fit our full initials, but it was better than nothing!

    My FI and I like to play/watch poker.  I got "ALL IN - 11/06/10" engraved in his but unfortunately my band is so thin he can't get it engraved.  I think he'll appreciate having our anniversary date on the ring for quick reference.

    We didn't go the surprise route, which would have been fun. Instead, we had both our bands engraved with our wedding date in roman numerals.

    A song lyric, H + J,  8/6/10  In his wedding day gift I had engraved in Latin- "God Joined Us"

    WE engraved the same thing in one another's rings.  We quoted a line from one of our wedding readings.

    When we first started dating, back in the day of the flip phone, each of us had half of a message displayed when you flipped the phone open.  Mine said, "I will love" and his said "You forever."  So we're engraving those into our rings.  When you put the two rings together it will say, "I will love you forever."

    MH is not Greek but he knows my Greek heritage is important to me/a big [art of who I am, he loves the culture, etc... so I engraved the Greek word for "love' and our wedding date.
