I need an entertainer who is familiar with CUBAN MUSIC!

Hello again ladies,

My fiance is Spanish and my family is Cuban. We have already chose several Spanish elements to include the Spanish culture in our wedding but I need a DJ who is familiar with cuban music so my side of the family will feel comfortable and get up and dance too!

I want to include latin jazz and classy salsa (stuff like buena vista social club and other classic cuban salsa bands) in addition to american music the rest of the younger and more american crowd will like. Does anyone know a DJ familiar with this music?? 

How much (if you happen to know.. no idea how much they cost!)

    Look into Colorblind Productions (www.colorblindprd.com) - they're a husband and wife team and they specialize in mutlicultural affairs.  I'm Greek and FI is South American and they've been great about ensuring that both of our cultures (plus American music) are represented at our wedding.

    Try Steve Guillen Productions and go with the owner as your DJ.  He's really knowledgeable on ALL Latin music (a Latin music connoisseur) and his prices are very good.  Although I ultimately didn't go with him, he was one of the best that I interviewed.

    My best friend and I are both getting married two weeks apart and are looking to use this to our advantage when bargaining for vendors. Do you it will make a difference?

    How much did you guys spend on your DJ's/MC's?

    I'm Cuban.  The DJ that's doing my wedding is Cuban too, so he knows all the music... he's also a personal friend.  He's awesome and had a great personality.... he will have everyone at your wedding dancing!

    We're paying $1400 for ceremony, CH and reception. DJ and emcee, personalized gobo's and lights. And I feel like something else, but I don't have my contract with me.
