Must take list for Todd?

Did you do one for him? I have a lot of details and DIY projects that I want pics of but I would think those would be a given and he'd automatically take pics wouldn't you think?

Should I more so do a list of specific places for pics etc.

I guess basically, what kind of lists did you put together if any?

I don't have Todd as my photographer, but I did end up putting together a list of everything I wanted a photo of (including little details, like our rings on an invitation, etc).  I figured it was better that Deacon knows what i want pictures of instead of guessing and finding out later that something was missed.

I broke it down in to sections based on what time we would be somewhere.  For example:
1-130, my hotel room, Detail shots:  dress, rings, etc
2-3, bridal party pictures, City Center.  FI with BM, Me with MOH, all 4 of us, etc

I was probably incredibly over detailed but I wanted to be sure nothing got missed!

Not working with Todd, but I am in the middle of doing a must take list. Though many of the shots probably are a given, I'd rather give them a list and make sure those shots are done than chance not having them. I've got a few standards: dress on hanger, shoes, rings with wedding day's newspaper. I also have a list of VIPs for our photographer: mom, dad, grandparents, uncles &cousins.  Excel spredsheets are my friend

I did a list for DT but it was not super formal.  It was more about spaces that we wanted pictures with/around (like in front of Binions or the Golden Nugget).  I couldn't really care less about the detail pictures like the rings and shoes. They're nice but I would never frame them or anything.

For the photog who did our formals, I did a complete list.  Like B&G alone, B&G with both sets of parents, B&G with one set of parents, etc.  We banged them out in 20 minutes.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

Only thing my wife has complained about missing pictures of has been the back of her dress; it's only partially in one picture.  I have been meaning to email Mike L to see if he has any of the back that just didn't make the cut that we could have anyway but haven't gotten around to doing that yet.

This is great to know, smokey!  I did this too, and was curious how long it would take.  I was hoping that by having everyone listed, it would go pretty quickly.

I started compiling a list of necessary family shots I'd like him to take-- I've got some time but I figured I'd start it now and add to it over the next few months any time I think of a must-take picture.

Formals @ Valley of the Falls:

Bride with parents (bride with both, bride with mother, bride with father)

Groom with parents (groom with both, groom with mother, groom with father)

Bride and groom with both sets of parents

Bride and groom with bride’s family (parents, bride's brother, and flower girl / parents with bride and brides' brother)

Bride and groom with groom’s family (parents, groom's sister / parents and groom and groom's sister)

Mother of Bride and Father of Bride

Mother of Groom and Father of Groom

Bride and groom with Grandma 1

Bride and groom with Grandpa and Grandma 2

Bride and groom with flower girl

    Strip tour:

Bride with bridesmaids, including/excluding groomsmaid (group)

Bride with bridesmaids, including/excluding groomsmaid (individually)

             Groom with groomsmen, including/excluding bridesman

             Bride with bride’s brother

             Groom with groom’s sister

Bride and groom with entire wedding party

    Reception:

             Bride with Aunt XXX

Mother of the bride with Aunt XXX (MOB's sister)

Mother of the bride with Aunt XXX (MOB's sister)

Bridesmaid A and Bridesmaid B together

Mother and father of the bride with flower girl

             Both sets of parents dancing

I have the list in my bio. I emailed the photographers a complete list with a ton of inspiration pictures. On the day of one of them had the stack of pages in her hands and we didn't miss any. The only thing I regret is not having arranged the invitation in a way that all its inserts were showing. I only have shots of it in its belly band.

Edit- oh wait, there is something... I had arranged the favors in a beautiful vase that was sitting on the console inside the suite and they didn't photographed it/them. So I'd say it's better to include even the details that seem obvious. In the end I didn't mind since they appear in the video.
