Help

Hey ladies!!

Just got engaged last month and already started the planning. My future hubby is in and out of denver so I have very little time to do consults with us both there so I though I would ask for reccomondations on vendors before I waste my time with a consult.
Because Ive already spent days and days picking out these vendors I need ONLY comments on them, please do not add additional vendors or suggest others.... I know its a bit bridezilla, sorry :(

Anywho... Heres what I got

Cake- Gateaux                                                                 http://www.gateauxpastries.com/

Linens- Cg Blume
Flowers- Cg Blume
DJ-Cg Blume

http://cgblume.com/

Venue- Stonebrook Mannor
http://stonebrookmanor

Rehersal dinner Catering- Above Elegance catering
http://aboveelegancecatering.com/index.html

Hair & Makeup- Ulta, Northglenn
http://www.ulta.com/?cmpid=PSGO

Thanks so much

i would go find a seperate hair person-from an honest hair salon

and i've heard stonebrook manor is awesome

and i know some girls on here are using CJ Blume

    best of luck to you!

I have also heard bad things about Ulta- horror stories.

CG BLUME- Cheap... in a good way, Cris is willing to help you out with anything and she is a quick responder, she is one of those people that LOVES what she does for a living, can't find many of those these days.

My friend had her cake ordered from Gateaux for her wedding- 20 mins late but the cake was tasty!

I'm getting married at SB in 17 days, I'll have a full review sometime after that!

But as far as the pre-event stuff goes, I'm really impressed.  I chose them, so these are the things that I don't love, but am willing to live with:

**They double book weddings for pre-set time with the pre-set ballroom.  ie, the east side ALWAYS has the 7pm evening wedding and the west side ALWAYS has the 6pm wedding.  No matter what.

**No outside food/drink.  Didn't think it was a big deal until I started thinking about a groom's cake and food in the getting ready room, holy pricey!

**They upcharge for EVERYTHING.  We went to a tasting, fell in love w/ the steak, only to find out that's an extra $5pp.  Or to put strawberries in the cake it's an extra .25pp.  Ouch again.  Just make sure your budget allows for such things

    Good luck and happy hunting!

I just had some cake from Gateaux just the other night at a charity event; I'm not much of a cake person, but it was DELISH!

You girls are sooooooo awsome!! I did a google search on Ulta and A LOT of Brides say its a no-go... dodged a bullet on that one!!

I spoke with Cris at Cg Blume and shes super nice!!  I kept her on the phone like 45min asking questions ( I know like 3 kinds of flowers) She walked me through some great options and was even great to keep me in my budget, which I tend to forget sometimes :)

We have our cake tasteing on Tuesday next week!!!

Stonebrook is getting a bit pricy!! They have so many stinking rules!! This is supposed to be my day, isnt it?

Anyway thanks for all the help!!!

I love  Gateaux! If a family friend was not baking our cake, I would go to them!! We get cooklies from there for work events, and a month or so ago I accidently ate my boss' cupcake :)
