Caterers????

Getting married in Montauk sept 24th.  having trouble finding caterer near by who will do buffet style (drop of and pick up) for intimate group of 35 folks.  Any one have recommendations?  sent emails to all the ones on the knot -- most do catering at their restuarant sites only.

    You should ask local restaurants out in Montauk.  I had a graduation party in my parents' back yard a few years ago, and we originally looked at companies who billed themselves as caterers, and all the price quotes were crazy expensive.  Then we went to our favorite local Italian place, and while they didn't bill themselves as "caterers," they were happy to prepare trays of food for us at a reasonable price.  I think my parents had to provide the tables to set the food up on and the heat-source-things (sterno? maybe? I don't remember what they're called), but the place provided the trays and dropped off the food.
