Newly Engaged! Are there any Aruba brides?

Hi everyone! I am newly engaged and we have decided on an Aruba destination wedding in May 2013! We chose Aruba because it is affordable from TX, neither of us has been there, and it is absolutely beautiful! My first choice location is the Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa. Is anyone familiar with the resort or have any suggestions? I would appreciate any feedback. Smile We plan on flying out there in June to check out that resort as well as a couple of others on the low rise side of the island. I just started working with Melissa at Beach Bum Vacations (after seeing all the great reviews on this site) and she has been great so far!

    Congrats and welcome!! My FI is from Houston. :) We looked at Houston initially and it looks GORGEOUS and could not believe how cheap the flights were to get there!! I am also working with Melissa and love her. :)

    I'm getting married at the Renaissance this summer. I looked at the Manchebo and it had a lot of positives. Let me know if you have any specific quetions. Also, I have a great photographer I'd be happy to recommend.

    Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome! I hope all of your planning is going smoothly. Laughing Although our wedding is over a year away, I'm kinda overwhelmed with the thought of how much planning goes into having a DW. I'm so excited about our trip in June to see the resorts! Once we decide on a resort and sign the contract, we can really get the ball rolling...starting with save the dates! I look forward to getting to know you ladies better!

    I also am getting married in Aruba in October 2013.  Manchebo is my first pick now, but  i would love to hear some more feedback and resort info!  We are looking for 50 guests and it must be all inclusive :)
