Serious Problem!! No time on invites

So everyone received their invites in the mail today. Somehow all of us failed to notice before sending them that there was no time posted on the invite for the ceremony. We do have our wedding website on the reply card for those who want to RSVP online instead. I honestly am at a loss on how to rectify this. I have 51 days. Any ideas? Just put it on the website, word of mouth?

Re: Serious Problem!! No time on invites

  • Start calling an emailing.  I would also expect a lot of phone calls to you and the parents asking the time.

  • Call and email.  People may not realize until a few days before when they go to check the time, so be prepared for some last-minute calls from people!

It's a good thing you have the website, hopefully people will also check there.

You can make a joke about it during speeches/TYs later on...
  • Oops! If it makes you feel better, the wedding invitations we ordered for our private ceremony (mostly meant as a keepsake because the guest list is 10 people and they all know everything already) doesn't actually invite them to a wedding. It gives the date, time, location, our names and a beautiful quote (not to mention the inclusion of the words "dinner reception to follow") but does not actually say anything about getting married, joining hands, nothing. I panicked briefly but then FI said probably no one would actually notice since they already know its a wedding. I bet his mom notices ;).
  • You'll have a wonderful time telling this story over the holidays during dinner!

Honestly, everyone who posted has terrific solutions- I agree with them all!  E-mails, phone calls, adding the information highlighted in your website and of course using printable post-cards can all do the trick.

You can always say laughingly 'We weren't concerned! Anytime would be a great time for us to get married'.

    Wishing you the best!
