i bought my dress at Lavinias Bridal in Garnerville (Rockland exit 13 on the Palisades) it was casablanca 1906. first dress i tried on!

i used gina brozon for my makeup. she was awesome! and used la sorella bridal for my hair. the flower was an esty buy

Wow you sure did pull it altogether. I for one am getting a little frazzled. I think once I go back to try my dress on in 2wks w/ my sisters & nieces - I'll see what their reaction is? I'm hoping I still like it? I don't know what is is I'm just unsure of the whole look. I never realized how daunting it was to pick out your wedding dress! I didn't like this boutiques headpieces so I'm going back to this other place and going to buy the headpiece I liked when I tried it on w/ another dress. I think it will look good w/ this dress?....Fngers crossed! I need to try it on all at once so I can better visualize. Was it that way for you? Or did you know exactly the dress and headpiece/flower you wanted?

I don't know why I just get the feeling you knew exactly what you wanted and got it altogether...If that's the case I'm jealous haha.

i worked very closely with lavinia from lavinia's bridal on my dress, veil and shoes. the hair clip i wasnt going to even wear but i put it on at the reception and i got tons of compliments.

i trusted every vendor i worked with. the flower centerpieces were designed by my florist. i changed it about 5 times. in a wedding everything is stressful until the actual moment.. it all comes together

Whew Ok I feel much better. You changed your arrangements 5 times. lol.

In terms of your flower ....I definitely think it tied it altogether. It was a nice touch.

I'm off to call the Florist :-) Here's hoping he gets the look I'm trying to achieve....My thinking is he will I just have to explain it better.

BTW...did you like the cruise you went on for your HM? What ship was it? It's a def toss up for me and my FI ...
We're either doing Eastern Carribean or Westernern. Or just flying straight to someplace in the Carribean. The only drag is IF we want to do a cruise & want to try this new ship out its the sister ship of the Oasis of the Seas (still being built) then we would have to leave from Florida to do so. I don't know how cool I'll be about taking an airplane to a ship all the next day after my wedding?!?!?!
It's something I realllllly need to think about!

good luck with the flowers! dont be afraid to tell them what you want.

we took princess cruise line right out of new york and LOVED it.. we took a 9 day Eastern Carribean cruise to Turk, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Bermuda. Had a blast and didnt have to worry about airplanes and the airport! DH and I are planning a Eurpeoan cruise (if i dont get preggers) for July 2011.

So you liked the ship? Didn't get sick? Did you leave from the Westside Hwy?

I don't know why but I think the travel agent said we would have to leave from Jersey or something? Maybe becasue we're getting married in May? Maybe they don't leave from NY in May? I'll find out. If I had my choice I really want the Eastern Carribean one. I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Turks & Caicos. But we'll have to see if my FI can get off? He's in a new job so we have to find out if he can take all his vacay at once.

Spoke to the Florist. They suggested adding 2 other types of flowers along w/ my roses and hydrangeas...One is called "stock" which I never heard of but it looks like a skinny hydrangea and they still say to add the snapdragons along w/ perhaps eucaplyptus. They said they cant do another mockup for me

so I don't know how i'm going to be able to tell how it will look?
I spoke w/ the florists' assistant I think maybe I'll wait some time and speak w/ the guy I've been dealing with but I want a better idea of what I'm getting.
I'm not good at visualizing I need to see the real deal so hopefully they can make a mockup for someone else and show me?

i had roses hydrangeas and carnations... they came out BEAUTIFUL! what color are you bridesmaid dresses?

we left out of brooklyn. i got sick one night but we hit rough seas and gale force winds on the way home. but the food was excellent. they played a movie on the pool deck every night and unlimited ice cream. i would get something over the counter for sea sickness next time. but overall great entertainment and a good time! if you are going to do a cruise make sure you do no assigned seating time. this way you and your dh can eat by yourselves anytime

My BM's colors are black & pink strapless dresses with the a band going across the waist and the inseam of the dress in a hot pink. The band that goes around the waist has this beautiful crystral broch. It ties the dress in nicely. Its very elegant - which is the look i'm going for. It's a Bill Lefkoff design. I guess we stilll have time to schedule the HM. I think one of the mags I was reading said you should have it all booked 5 months prior so we have til December...amongst everything else eeeeek.
I told my family Christmas is cancelled this year haha.

What was your wedding song? Did your BM;s have their own song when they were introduced into your reception?
