Anyone Else Looking Forward To The Weekend?

So what's the plan?

My college homecoming is this weekend.  I haven't been in years and since my sister lives there (with the 2 cutest little girls) I have an extra incentive to go.  I miss them all so much!  So we are driving up Friday and surprising her.  She'll be in bed when we get there so she'll find out that we are there when we get up Saturday morning.  I can't wait!  And tomorrow night is a Peter Furler concert for our anniversary (10/10 is our 2nd anniversary!).

I know there are a few weddings this weekend.  Smile  What else is going on?

My weekend is officially here now. Tomorrow I'm having high tea with some ladies from work to celebrate the retirement of the MA I've taken over for. And hopefully looking at house designs with DH and his dad so we can start our building plans. I only worked 28 hours this week, but it was all in 3 days, so I'm POOPED! Ready for rest and relaxation this weekend.

Well, I go to OU. & this week is the OU/Texas game, so I don't have class on Friday. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon after class to go home. Tomorrow is also FI's birthday, so I'm pretty excited I get to go home and see him.

Wish I could go to the game, because I'm sure it'll be a good one. But it'll be crazyyy, so I'm kind of glad I won't be going.

FI mentioned going to Texas to see his family this weekend though. I'm not 100% sure if we're going, but we'll see. I personally want to watch FBIL play football Friday night instead of going to Texas, but that's just me. FBIL is doing pretty well this season (his senior year). He's leading the district in lots of categories (tackles, rushing yards, & a few others).

I hope everyone has a good weekend! =]

Sounds fun, ladies! Friday- nothing after work (just the way I like my Fridays).

Saturday- teaching dance, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, then Mary Kay party at my friend's

Sunday- Bible study and church, then Steeler party at a co-worker's

I have a half day at work tomorrow, then I have a whirlwind of stuff.  Tomorrow afternoon I have to straighten up the apartment a bit, then I have a doctor's appointment.  I'm sure I will find something else to do for my wedding checklist, haha.

Friday morning I have my bridal portraits, so that will be an all day affair:  mom arriving around 7:00 a.m. to do hair and make-up, portraits at 11:00 a.m .and no telling how long they'll last, pay the photographer in full, likely have lunch with my mom, then possibly going to pick up my car from the shop (had to replace the alternator).  I will probably do some online shopping for the parent gifts for FI's parents (already got the gifts for mine).

Saturday I will have to pick up my car from the shop if it wasn't ready by Friday, and I have to return to my parents the "spare" car I am borrowing from them.  I will also be working on some DIY for wedding checks, and I will see if I can get FI to go (and maybe me go with him) to buy the remaining GM, ceremony reader, and usher gifts.  (BM gifts are already done.)  Then I need to look into some gift bags and wrapping paper, etc. so I can get busy wrapping the VIP gifts that we've already got.

Sunday after church I will be preparing questions and timelines and such.  I plan to finalize my day-of timeline and send a long, detailed e-mail with information and questions to my DOC.  Then I will be preparing information and questions to take with me to mine and FI's meeting with our officiant on Monday.  I also need to write thank you notes for a couple of the gifts I have received in the mail recently.

PHEW!  You'd think I was getting married in 6 weeks or something!  ;-)

Sessions: have fun with the bridal portraits!! Friday: class, work, then relaxing with FI. We'll probably go out to dinner and then just watch a movie- our typical Friday night. Saturday: FMIL is flying in to take care of her sick family friend for month. We are picking her up, then driving her an hour to her friends house. Later, we are having Yom Kippur dinner. We were invited by the family of the boy I tutor. It should be interesting! Sunday: homework!

I am heading home early Saturday morning. The state fair is in town and my step niece is dying to go! I have to fill in for my brother and ride the rides with her since he is deployed. I have been looking forward to this for a while now! She is so much fun to be around. And I plan on getting some snuggle time with my new niece, Avigayle. She is adorable!

DH is working Friday and Saturday nights so no plans.  We'll be able to go to church together on Sunday though.  Tonight we're having date night.

Yep, I'm looking forward to it!  It's Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend so lots of hanging out with family, and also closing the pool and outdoor fall chores.  Should be a busy but fun weekend, and I get to see my H all weekend so that makes it even better!

The Peter Furler concert was so awesome!!  Any Newsboys fans out there definitely need to check and see if he is coming to your area.  He did some Newsboys stuff (Wherever We Go, Something Beautiful, He Reigns, Blessed Be The Name, Breakfast Song) and did his new songs which are awesome!  He is so talented and I know I'm gushing but I can't help myself.  I had missed him so much and am glad he's back!!

    Have a great weekend ladies.

(Sarah - I'm jealous.  Have fun and if you do gtg, make sure to take a pic!)
