Braces!!!!

20 days before My love and I went on our first date, I got braces, We knew each other in high school but never were more then friends of friends. So tomorrow I am getting my braces off...just in time for the wedding...and he has never kissed me without braces on. Im so super excited!!!!! AND the orthodontist and all his assistants are AMAZING!!! they offered to work thru thier lunch break to make sure that I get them off for the wedding. SurprisedCool

    Congratulations!!!  I remember when I got mine off.  My teeth felt really weird for days...like they didn't know how to react to being free of the braces!

    Thank you all..Im debating whether to tell him or not...Wondering if he would notice if I just walked up and planted one on him after they were gone..lol..But we share everything and I feel like Im lying a bit...Am I? lol

    I vote for the surprise approach as well! It is definately a great feeling to get them off. very slimy indeed and you wont be able to stop sliding your tongue along your teeth lol. Enjoy!

    Congratulations!

    FI had incredibly crooked teeth, and now he has had braces for about 1 1/2 years.  He's expected to get them off in about a year, only a couple months before our wedding!  

    I had them when I was young, but he's felt self-conscious about having them at age 24 and 25.  But he's so glad that he got them, and he's so excited to have a perfect smile for our wedding.  He never liked smiling with his teeth showing for pictures--now he's going to be proud of it.

    Congrats! Definitely go the surprise route. The big things I remember from getting mine off are:

    1) the cracking sound when they pulled the metal rings off my back teeth (not sure if you have those). Seriously, sounded like my teeth were cracking in half.

    2) getting sick after eating an entire bag of caramels, my favorite candy that I hadn't eaten in two and a half years. :)

    You are so lucky!  I had decided to get braces before I my my FI.  I got them on right after we started dating. Now I get to have a wedding with braces on!
