How was your weekend?

I had my first set of dress fittings this weekend. Also, had my hair/ make- up trial.

That was about it. It just keeps raining here. 2 days in June so far with no precipitation. It's getting old. It's draining my energy/ motivation.

Ohh how fun! How was it? Did you get any pics?!?

This weekend we realized how old we are. We went to a friend's house to watch the UFC fight and stayed the night (was along drive). By 11 PM we were ready to pass out and completely annoyed by all the drunk people around us. Now we're both in serious pain because of the terrible bed we had to sleep on - that's how you know you're old, when you "sleep wrong" and pay for it for 2 days.

It was jammed and went by so quick!
Saturday we had a bridal shower but FI was sick so I went by myself. His BFF wasn't going to be there until later anyways so I don't think he really wanted to go- can't blame him. Sunday his friend from work had his baby BBQ and FI worked so I went and hung out with his boss and friend's baby momma.All in all, it was the best baby shower- no games and alcohol

Yes loopy- any pictures?

My weekend was nice. We watched a lot of soccer games. It was actually fun. I never got into soccer because I wasn't any good when I was younger, but it's really fun to watch. Also, a large percentage of the players are smokin' hot. So it's a pretty cool game all around.

Also we got the first proof of the save the dates that I ordered! I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. I can't make up my mind on the colors. Otherwise, I'm excited about them!

I hope the fitting and trial went well ! Any pics to share ?

My weekend was..stressful. My kitty looked like she had gotten worse by Saturday so we took her in ready to face the worst , but somehow when we got her there , she perked up again , almost as to say "No , not yet , I can fight this!" , it was very stressful and trying nott o get our hopes up but since Saturday she has been like herself even my other cat has taken to her again. I think the worst is over and she has been able to use the litterbox so all signs seem good..i'm just overly worried still.

Worked yesterday and am stuck on the second floor and there is basically no air flow up there , so it's miserable in the heat. Called into Jury duty today - so far I don't have to go in but may have to come 11am..we will see .

My weekend was alright. Pretty frustrating actually. I got a call from the lady whos children I was SUPPOSED to nanny this summer (i'm home from college for the summer) and she told me she didn't need me AGAIN this week... which means no money... It's been three weeks like this: Very frustrating because with this wedding and school, I need some money. On a brighter note, my brothers grad party was a BLAST and FI and I were able to spend lots of time together this weekend, which was great. I also got to hang out with a friend I haven't seen for a long time. Nothign wedding related happened this weekend: I'm taking a break from wedding planning I suppose. But I should probably get back to it since I've been taking this break for seriously like over a month. hahahaha. 2 years is too long to be engaged.

6fn: Do you by any chance live in MN? I live in Minneapolis and it's rain rain rain here. Seriously, when's it going to end?! I want to see Mr. Sun again!

I road-tripped it this weekend. After a 5 hr drive I was in NB and we spent the weekend toooobing, bonfire-ing, having drinks and SHOPPING (in Maine...omg crossed the border!). It was wonderful. But now I'm soooo tired and ready to nap for 6 days. lol

Bourgehm - If you were asking me if I live in Minneapolis. Yes I do. ( well a suburb, but yeah I'm in the metro area.) No kididng, this rain can go away at anytime now. Wednesday I hear we should see some sun. Then rain again.

Paige sounds like you had a fun weekend. I'm jealous.

Loopy I love your hair!

I also had a dress fitting and a hair and makeup trial this weekend so it was very busy but fun. I discovered some gray hairs that must have popped up over night so that was less fun.

NQB - Your wedding is fast approaching as well! Whoa baby! How is it going for you? Did you decide on your hair yet?

My weekend was busy! We had our engagement photos session (I'll PIP a few later! They posted a few online already!) and then I had my dress fitting (squeeee!!!) I love it!! I got to try it on with my veil and shoes and I'm pumped!! Then my FMIL and FSIL in town with my parents and I had my last bridal shower, and it was just lovely. I'll make a huge AW post later.

Your hair looks great, Loopy! Saturday I had to run some errands, but mostly I lounged around at home and reviewed some papers for work and watched the My Fair Wedding marathon. BF had a glitch with the work program on his computer so he spent most of the day on the phone with IT trying to fix it. Sunday we took a three hour drive to CT to celebrate his grandmother's birthday. That was fun.

Our weekend was non-stop but fabulous.

We went OOT for Saturday and most of Sunday. It was fabulous to be lazy. Our nephew is just the cutest. I love, love, love him. And it melts my heart to see DH with him. He is going to be an amazing daddy. Sigh.

House-wise
The main bathroom was completely gutted. DH solidified the walls and redid the subflooring. My deep soaking tub is going in tonight.
I finished the front flower beds. Plus we had some roses transplanted in the backyard. We're hoping they take.
We also bought our flooring!

If the past week was any indication, I doubt I will be around much in the coming months.

Right now my dress doesn't look any different than the photos that I posted last week ( or the week before in the jewelry post.) When things start taking shape I'll be sure to post photos. Now that the dress has been pulled tight and pinned to be taken in I'm super scared of gaining weight in the next 2 months.

NQB - I really like that hair style. Before my hair got pulled back we tried that style. Too bad my hair doesn't like to hold a curl so it looked terrible on me. I will be outside a lot, so I think its best for me to have all my hair up and out of the way.

Mutley... those pics of your DH and nephew are adorable! Sounds like you guys have been going non stop... hopefully the house will stay on schedule and you can get in that soaking tub and relax some before Mr. Man makes his debut!

My weekend was a mostly a little lonely. Sister was working, parents were OOT, and BF went OOT.
However, he came back, took me to dinner, and then we threw a mini party for my mom who had a birthday yesterday. Then we went back to the apartment, ate berries, drank wine, and put together a bunch of ikea while watching Ghost in the Shell.

And this morning he sleepily said "did you see that thing by your stuff?" I excitedly ran up there, expecting something like owl post-it notes, and he made me a key!

Tarra is a happy girl today!

I went OOT all weekend to go work with family at the Shrimporee near Corpus Christi. Friday was a 6 hour work day, Saturday was 13 hours and Sunday was another 6 hours, plus over 2 hours to help tear down the carnival. But I had a blast! The kids got to spend the weekend with my mom, and they came out on Saturday. We actually just got home from my mom's a little while ago and I'm trying to get cooled off.

Loopy- Love the hair! I wish mine would do something like that, but it won't hold. And I feel your pain on the grey hair. I just keep covering up. Loreal is my friend.
