I'm registered at Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and Kohl's.  I also have a wish list at Anthropologie, since I LOVE thier home stuff.

So far I'm liking Crate & Barrel the best. They have a huge selection and their designs are pretty timeless. I loved all the stuff I registed for at Pottery Barn, but over months since we've registered they've pretty much discontinued half of the stuff we had on our registry, like our dishes!

Right now we have one at Walmart and of course the FI but REDICULOUS stuff on there (his wishful thinking) lol. I might make one at one other place but i am not really sure as of yet.

We're registered at Pampered Chef, Macy's and Crate & Barrel.  I've been the least happy with Macy's.  Pampered Chef has awesome rewards, but no one has touched that one yet. :-(

We did Bed Bath and Beyond.  We also had a registry at JCPenney initially because they had dishes I liked, but the dishes were discontinued and it was a small registry to start so we just took everything else off.

Nothing awful, really.  I had to change towels four times because they kept discontinuing them and not even sending me a notice.  I would just log on to the registry and find that they were unavailable.

I also just feel like they're more expensive than other places for the same things.  For example, they have their kitchen aid mixer as $399, while C&B has it as $299.  Then Macy's has it on their site as "on sale" for $299.  I just feel like it's kinda tricking people into buying "sale" items when they could buy it for the same "normal" price somewhere else.

I haven't yet but we are thinking Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and maybe just a few things from macy's. I am second guessing now that some of you don't like Target and Macy's... not sure yet. We won't be registering though until around January for out July wedding.

I set 2 up at a bridal show but I have yet to put anything on them!  So far Bed Bath & Beyond and Pampered Chef. I'm thinking maybe Sears or JC Penney for the last one since they have everything. Sears has Craftsman tools for FI!

I have BBB, Crate and Barrel, and Williams-Sonoma.  The BBB is by far the most popular - the WS has barely been touched, and no one has gotten anything off of C&B (boo, that's where the sheets and towels are!).  Weirdly, a lot of the Calphalon stuff I wanted is cheaper at WS than BBB, but maybe people just assume the store will be more expensive and don't even look.

BBB has discontinued a few things without telling me, and it kind of sucks since I would have gotten luggage if that hadn't happened, but overall it's been a fine experience.  I set all of them up completely online, so I can't speak to the in-store experience.

    For people still deciding:

Not to offend anyone, but if your family doesn't already do Pampered Chef, they likely won't buy off of a Pampered Chef registry.  Most people are hesitant to go through a representative to buy items, especially someone they might have to find through a website.  A friend of mine did a PC registry, and she basically got people buying similar items from BBB for her instead (not a terrible thing).  Just something to think about!

I have had bad experiences buying off of Target registries in the past, and keep hearing horror stories about them on the Knot, so I would avoid them unless it's the only option that works for the areas where your guests live.  It's understandable to choose them since they're normally a store I love, and they are convenient to most guests, but I would only choose them if you feel that another store wouldn't work better.

We did Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, and Target.

Target's list we got duplicates of many things because I guess that's what everyone figured was easiest.

Crate & Barrel was equally as popular... the only reason we didn't get everything was because it was a lot bigger than the Target registry.

PB was unfortunately, almost untouched.  It makes me so bummed because all of our really good stuff was on there.  We didn't get any of our nice towels off our PB registry :(  And we had some gorgeous frames, candlesticks, charger plates and serving pieces on there...

You don't have to go through a representative for the registry, though.  You can buy directly through the website just like any other place.  Maybe it's changed recently.  I have a representative that I can contact with questions, but no one else deals with her.  She just ends up getting all the commission or whatever it is for what people bought online.

We aren't registering until next year, probably in March as our wedding isn't until September, but we are def going to register at Crate and Barrel and Macy's.  We've been living together for over a year now in my condo so it's gonna be hard to find stuff we need but I love shopping! =)

Good to know.  I have definitely heard people say, "Oh,  I'm not buying off her Pampered Chef registry because I don't want to deal with a sales rep", but they may not have looked into it and just assumed.
