    *or H?

Me personally - I never did. But I bought a saddle yesterday off of Craigslist and I didn't exactly tell him about it. Granted my money is my money at this point in time. And it wasn't like I lied... I just haven't told him yet. I feel a little bad because we are so open with one another. I think in my head I'm like.. 'i know something you don't know' but.. yeah. That's my confession.

-Farting (or passing gas if you want to be lady like) doesn't count! Tongue out

Yes. We have secrets from past relationships that we don't talk about. Our rule is if its in the past and won't effect us now we don't talk about it
Military Brides December 2011 Siggy. Holiday picture with your SO. We suck and don't have one :/ Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

I keep secrets from him only when it's related to a surprise I'm planning for him. We have been very open and honest with each other and very frank about everything; he is honestly the first person I've ever been in a relationship with with whom I have had no reservations whatsoever about telling him things, even when they make me look or sound bad; I don't ever want to hurt him by not telling him something; he doesn't deserve that. I think that everything you've lived through in your past really shapes who you are and that's all the more reason to talk about it.

now, I can totally see buying a saddle that's a good deal and just not telling him about it *yet* haha; but we have made rules about major purchases that don't fall within our "monthly spending allowance" that we each have in our budget; if we want to spend more than our monthly amount, we either a) save our monthly allowance for a few months and then buy or b) discuss it and okay it w the other person. We also decided to do this with any dollar amount increase in monthly recurring expenses (like adding a feature to your phone, etc).

    oh; example:

I kept a secret from him for over a month and planned a super-cool amusement park date weekend. I didn't tell him where we were going until we were about 5 minutes away (since he doesn't no my area, he had no clue where we were going or what I was up to). It was even hard for me to tell him "oh, I don't know... I am thinking about a few different things" whenever he asked what we were going to do that weekend. haha

We've set up rules like this too. Guidelines for how we plan/want to spend once accounts are combined. It was a steal a Wintec All Purpose w/ matching bridle for $80 (which is still less than our rules for when we join accounts lol)

SN: I was hoping this would be a fun thread. LIke I didn't tell him that I accidentaly washed a white shirt in the color load and it turned pink. (guilty of doing it - but i told him) lol.

Ummm, I'm a notoriously messy cooker, and H is pretty anal about the cleanliness of our kitchen. The other day I was opening a tub of crumbled feta cheese and couldn't get the plastic off. So I pulled harder and half the freaking crumbles went FLYING. I scooped up what I could and just ignored the rest. We're deep cleaning this weekend anyway, he'll be fine. :)

I put little bits of healthy stuff into food when I can sneak it in; it's not that he won't eat it, it's that he doesn't want to think about it, so what he doesn't know can't hurt him. And will probably help. I also don't necessarily tell him how much I spend on grooming--he likes the result, that's all we need. He's pretty great about things though, as long as it's reasonable and doesn't cost the earth, he's the king of "Whatever makes you happy." Really, what did I do to deserve that? :)

On another note, there's a lot of stuff about my past that I told him that now I really wish I hadn't. I am by far, more, shall we say experienced, and that bothered him for a long time. I don't think I would've lied about it, but a lot of it didn't come from a fun place, and I wish he didn't feel badly about it.

Laundry-wise: I have totally shrunk at least one pair of pants completely and hid them until I could get him new ones.

    CAB: Of course!! :)
    I'm loving reading these!!
Divine: I love the jeans! I would do something like that. Although I don't ever admit when he complains about a pair feeling kind of tight. I just go into the other room.
Irish: That's too funny and very harmless!

My FI insists on drinking 2% milk, but there's so much fat and it's just not healthy (1% makes me gag, unless its on cereal). Since I watch what I eat, a couple times a week I put his 2% on my cereal. Then I pour some of my skim milk into his container, so it's like he's really drinking 1%

Also, for some reason he insists on keeping his holy socks and boxers. Since he does the laundry and I fold it and put it away, I go through it and just throw away the holy stuff! I don't think he has ever even noticed because he never says anything haha! Once we start getting BAH next month, I'll buy him some new replacements :)

Super guilty of this. Ughhh I HATE it. So I give the socks to the dog and throw away the boxers. I do the laundry on his late nights - so he never knows - and Jade (dog) chews up the socks good enough by the time he is home.

This is more of an inside joke than anything. We share a Netflix account, I just like watching the streaming so I never got the disks… and while he still had the disks coming to his apartment I would go in and change his queue so he would sometimes get random off the wall movies.  He always caught it before they got sent to him because he used to change his queue daily. For a while he thought it was a Netflix bug putting random movies on the queue…but then he got rid of the disks.

I really just wanted him to be like "WTF?"

Binx I love that with the milk.

H hates veggies so I will make some sort of chicken dish or something and I will chop really small and add into the sauce so he really can't tell.  Oh and he hate onions.  I love to cook with onions so I chop them really small and add into the dish.  He will ask are there onions in this.  My response "why no you hate them."

amh- that was a great deal on the saddle/bridle. I have a bates dressage saddle and I <3 it, but saddles can cost an arm, a leg and your firstborn child if you don't bargain hunt. <3 the interchangeable tree systems.

I also love the milk thing. haahaha.

sn: sorry, didn't mean to make this thread something it wasn't meant to be...

I'll have to think about this one :) My guilty pleasure is drinking out of the milk carton, but he totally knows I do that! haha

um you guys make me laugh :) especially about the saddle and the health food.

I don't keep anything from Fi. he knows all about my life before we were together. it was kind of not rough exactly, but odd at times because it caused stress within the first 4-6 months of us being together a few times, but hasn't since then (and the same on his side for his life before me). We were kind of weird and did a full disclosure about everything and anything right away because he was moving and so was I within 2 weeks of us meeting so we didn't want to bother if we didn't get along and if we didn't think it could work long term.

Other then that there has never been anything that I've really kept from him except surprises. We have had some big surprises, like i unpacked and decorated pretty much our whole house while he was deployed once. It was weird though he knew what i was doing and we didn't have a birthday present that he wanted, so he sent me maybe 2/3 or 1/2 of the money for everything and ordered everything, painted, did all the gardening and handy work finished it all up before he came home. other then that we've done random surprises and presents for holidays, but no other secrets - we aren't any fun in that department.

Haha these are so fun to read!  Ditto the "you guys make me laugh" .  haha

Other then surprises, FI and I don't keep anything from eachother.  LIke he sends me letters in the mail randomly ( I LOVE GETTING LETTERS IN THE MAIL lol... Ok, I'll calm down, but I really do) or the first time I visited him in Alabama, I flew into Ft. Walton in Florida and he took me to the beach right after he picked me up and he packed a picnic dinner and we sat on the beach and watched the sun go down.  (Aaaaaah, memories! )   I would also clean his house for him when I would visit if he had to work.  He loved it.  I also made an Adventure Book (like from UP) and gave it to him when I met up with him in Washington last month before our Canada road trip.  We have all of these things that we say we want to do and so I started making a "date list."  It has things like sky diving, snow shoeing, kayaking and beach dates, so I turned it into an adventure book and started filling it with pictures.  He was so shocked.  Yeah, we're super cheesy and love things like that! lol

    So that's it for us,,,
but you ladies are hilarious! Loved reading these!

I probably should of said from the start a funny thread.

But yes - interchangeable tree's are AMAZINGGGGG! and I love bates - they are amazing saddles, so comfortable.

These are hilarious to read! FI and I pretty much love the same things food wise. I don't really drink milk too much ( i hate the taste of it) but other than the saddle - I've had some laundry mishaps that I just never really disclosed on.
