Help me decide please...

Which cake do you prefer? I'm going to attempt to put more than one pic in this post. Ignore the toppers for now and try to picture 4 tiers for each cake. I'm just trying to decide on a design to show FI before we meet with the potential bakers. He's no help in planning certain elements of the wedding from scratch. Cake and flowers are two such elements...

I am very non-traditional when it comes to wedding. I like to do things that people wouldnt do. I like cake 2 actually the best.

I'm really loving the 2nd one, but 3 and 4 is still nice!!!

Yay! Two is actually my fave as well...we will probably use it because she could easily make the floral detail mimic what is on my dress! Thanks ladies. The last one is a display cake that I saw in person on Sunday at a vendor showcase/venue tour. It looked great in person, but I still was drawn to the second one a little more because of its simplicity.

There is something about all of them 3 is more of a traditional/modern cake style, 4 is traditional with a twist and 1 and 2 are similar though 1 is more on the edge which at first look I didn't like but it is different which makes it stand out more. as a result I like 1 and 4 the manner in which the ribbons on 4 is positioned makes it a little unique and 2 looks like 1 to me but just not trying to be too edgy more safe, 3 is safe all the way. If I had to choose only 1 it would be #4

Though they are all beautiful cakes. Oddly enough the design of our cake isn't edgy at all displayed under my photos.

If you want something gorgeous and different I'd say to go with #1.

If you want something classic and beautiful I'd say to go with #3.

@ Eagles347 we are using the ribbon banding at the base of the first cake but the overall design of the 2nd cake, the flowers will be purple and green to match the flowers in my bouquet and the room decor so instead of the roses he will make cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, stephanotis and hydrangea's and may incorporate one or two button mum's since the boutonniere will be a cymbidium orchid with a button mum.

Thanks for the compliment. We are definitely happy with our choice though our cake will be 3 tiers instead of the two here and we will have them position the cake topper so that it looks like the drape on the cake is the dress flowing down the cake.

I love #3 - it is simple and elegant. Coming in second for me is #2.

I'd say #2, but you have to be careful with cakes like that. They can slip from an "Oh, how lovely!" to a "What the hell?!" real quick if you have an inexperienced baker. I say go uncoventional if it fits. Good luck!

So right...we are thinking of using Lisa Mae Cakes...www.lisamaecakes.com. I'm not sure how long she's been in business, but her gallery is beautiful and the almond pound cake that I tasted yesterday was unbelievable.

I was thinking the same things as bbyckes but if those are her cakes in the gallery then I say you're good plus a couple of those cakes are very similar to the 2nd cake you like. So I don't think she have a problem creating your cake vision.
