XP EFF YOU PAYLESS!!!

All of my BM's had shoes picked out from payless because they were only $19.99 and dyeable so they could pick their own style, but all have the same exact color.

THEY DISCONTINUED THEM. I'm pretty flustered because now I have to ask them to spend more money because HOW am I going to find a shoe for only $20 and really cute?

Does ANYONE have any suggestions on any websites I can find something similar to this style that is dyeable? Or where did you get your BM's shoes??

Re: XP EFF YOU PAYLESS!!!

  • The discontinued all of their dyeables?  Weird...
We ordered ours from David's Bridal, but they were $45/pair.  Plus, only my MOH and I got them, my other BM wanted to wear a paid she already had.
Do they all have to match...?  Are they wearing short dresses?  Or can they all do a version of a silver sandal or something that isn't so color specific?
  • They had the shoes picked out put hadn't purchased them yet?  Did some buy and others not.

I would say just have them pick out something they want.  I told my BM just to get a pair of brown shoes.  I wouldn't stress over this.

  • Tell them a colour. Dyeables are expensive usually; just ask them to get them in your colour, or a neutral.
  • I told all my BM to pick whatever shoes they wanted in beige/champangne color... and they just got something they liked and would wear again... mismatched shoes look fine together i think, and chances aer they will leave them on all night if they like them haha

  • For one wedding I've been in we all just wore black heels/ wedges. For my wedding my girls can wear any silver shoes they want (as long as they aren't flip flops or covered in glitter). You may want to let them just pick out their own in a matching easy to find color. The closer I get to the wedding, the less I'm caring about small details that only I'll notice. *With my last comment in mind, please know that two months ago I spent HOURS AND HOURS searching for the perfect champagne colored heel, and then I realized I needed to prioritze what really mattered timewise.

  • I agree with PP that it would be much easier to just give the girls a color and have them find shoes they like. There is really no need for them to match perfectly. Then they can wear a style they like and spend whatever they are comfortable with.
  • My girls got matching ones from Target.  They're strappy sandals with a lower (2-2.5 inch) heel.  They are sparkly and come in silver, gold, bronze & black.  My girls all opted for bronze.  They were 17.99.  So, even if they hate them and only wear them the once, they're not losing much $$.

My girls are wearing yellow shoes and with all the shades of yellow, it was impossible for them to find their own shoes. I was in your situation too but luckily bought those payless shoes before they were discontinued (a saleswoman told me months ago that they would be discontinued soon). I recommend finding someone local who can dye shoes. I found a family business that was only going to charge $19.99 to dye. I would suggest having them purchase their own white dyable shoes and then having them dyed to match, same color but different shoe. This will allow the girls to pay what they can afford.

  • If the payless dyeable shoes would cost extra to dye anyway you were looking at $40ish shoes.. so if you can find something else in that price range it wouldnt be taht diff. from what you were asking in the beginning... I still think letting them pick their own shoe in your color is easiest... you prob won't even notice on the big day!

  • My sister (Matron of Honor) picked out the shoes for my girls, they were Davids Bridal and they were in "Nude" color.
