Pocketfold closures

Another invitation question from me!  I finally have all the pieces of the invitations and am working on putting them together.  I bought a tape runner at Michael's (works perfectly), but now I'm struggling how to close them, or if I need to.  I bought some ribbon and wrapped it around, but I don't think it looks very clean since you can see the ends of the ribbon on the back.  I tried to use the tape runner to glue the ribbon together, but it's not sticking too well and you can see the glue spots. Photos below.

How did you close your pocketfolds?  Would it be okay not to use anything and just fold them closed?

Thanks!!

A glue dot can be used (I used zots brand) underneath the flap of the pocket. These held well for me.

Then, for appearance's sake, I took ribbon like you and wrapped it around. Where it overlapped, I secured it with a glue dot and a monogram square made out of cardstock (belly band). There's probably some photos in my planning bio. HTH!

I agree with Kwynn-get some glue dots to hold the ribbon in place!

Mine sample from Etsy has a vellum (thats what it is called, right?-- the translucent, thin, white paper) wrap on it that slides off and on. Love it.

PIB - We used little monogram cardstock squares and a glue dot under the square to attach it to the ribbon.
