Vacation Rentals?

Hi, do any of you plan on having or know anyone who has had a beach wedding at a vacation rental? I found a vacation rental that has its own private beach and a pretty large patio to fit my guests.  I'm thinkiing this could be a really affordable option but want to know what you all think!

    We are having family stay at 2 vacation rental houses in San Diego, which we found on vrbo.com (but our ceremony and reception will not be held there)

    Before you book, definitely visit the place, we visited one that looked great online and was awful in person (i.e. WAY smaller than it looked online).  Also, check to see whether they have a "wedding" charge (most charge you an additional $1000 - $3000 if you say you are having a wedding, reception, or even rehearsal dinner there).
