Possible Bridal Shower

This morning I received an email from my MOH asking about a "bridal shower", that was so very sweet of her... So I gave her so ideas, we all live so far apart but I would be willing to drive or do something local once everyone was here.

It's so nice to have such thoughtful ladies. I thought I would share!!

It also is working out that I will have all 4 of my ladies at my wedding.

Great news!  No one has mentioned a shower, and I'm ok with that.  The showers for my 1st wedding were awkward and not that great.  Hope y'all have a great time!

In retrospect I kinda wish someone would have thrown me a shower.  It would have been nice to upgrade the towels and sheets.  But that's okay, I would have felt somewhat awkward having one and there wouldn't have been a whole lot of women to invite.\\

    Enjoy yours Ang!

Congrats on the Shower in waiting !

I didn't have a shower, but I had a 'bridal luncheon'....honestly i saw NO difference...but they called it that!  lol

I registered as so many on here referred me to...and only 1 of the many thoughtful gifts i rcvd were from the registry.....

Few gift cards to Victoria's Secret (love those)( we had a blast going there the week following to pick up stuff) Macy's, Crate n Barrel, Luggage from the hosts....and many more gift cards......

Definetly have a shower if offererred, i thought at first akward, but we all had a wonderful time and it was a memorable afternoon ! All my gfriends loved it and were all into it...lol

Thankfully NO ONE made the silly ribbon and bow bouquet...although the supplies were there for one!   For the record...NO ribbons were broken...THANK G-d...:)

    Congrats for you, enjoy it!

For me, the whole bridal shower thing is becoming more of a hassle than it's worth... two of my BMs offered to host one (and now are apparently planning to make it a "surprise" one, a fact I found out from FI...) but despite them being friends, their idea of a "classy" bridal shower is far from it. Their showers come with invitations that actually DEMAND presents from people, and dictate when and where to bring them (uhh, duh, it's a shower). They invite people that aren't invited to the wedding. They are potluck parties that insist people bring a dish as an "admission charge", they must get the dish approved by the host before the party and then if they don't bring it they are turned away at the door. And of course, the note/subtle threat at the bottom of the invites saying "If you RSVP yes, don't waste our time by not showing up, or else." Classy, ne?

Well, FMIL found out about all of this so she decided she wanted to throw a shower for me. But now she's wanting to throw one with ONLY her family in attendance because she wants to have it in the small town her family lives in, that nobody else can get to because it's like 4+ hours away from here. Oh, and did I mention that because of my job, I would have no way to get there either? *sigh*

I hope your experience is a much more positive one than mine has been, lol.
