STL Ceremony Site Suggestions?!

Hey Everyone!

I'm trying to find a cermony site in the St. Louis area and I've had no luck so far! My wedding date is September 24, 2011 and my budget is $1500 for the site ( I would only need the site for the ceremony as I already have reception locations in mind). I do not want it at: The Jewel Box, Grand Basin, or the Piper Palm House. (All my friend's recent weddings took place there and my fiance and I want something different and our own). I also don't want it outside or in a church. I've been looking at 9th Street Abbey... Any suggestions would be great!

We are doing ours in a 4th floor ballroom in the Drury Plaza with the wrap around windows open to have the arch as our backdrop.  I would just say, look around downtown if that is the area you want, a lot of places can do a ceremony even if they don't traditionally advertise as one.

Where are your reception location ideas?  For our guests, since we had lots of OOTers locations being near one another was key.

You should check out sqwires for your ceremony and reception. It is Lafayette Square Park. We are getting married there on 9/5. It is beautiful and they are not charging us to use it as a ceremony.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! @ Mary--I'm looking at a few golf courses in the area as well as Orlando's. We won't have many OOT guests, but I also wanted to look at some hotels in the area too.

We had both our ceremony and reception (cocktail hour in between) at the 9th Street Abbey, so I'm a little biased.  It's so beautiful!  And Lafayette Park is a beautiful and often forgotten about alternative to Forest Park.  The Chinese Pavilion in Tower Grove Park has built-in seating, and the cost to rent is way below your budgeted amount.  Good Luck with your search!
