Shoe Help

Ok so here's my situation... would love some thoughts...

I'll start by saying I have horrible feet. They are really big (size 10.5) very wide and very flat. Because of my weird size, it's really hard to find comfortable shoes. Most 10's are too tight and it's very  hard to find 10.5. 11's are usually too big and also hard to find.

So the task of finding wedding shoes has been difficult.

I find I have better luck online with sites like Endless b/c I can search by size and they often have sizes like 10.5. And with free both way shipping it's as easy as going to the store if not more simple.

So... over the past few months I have ordered and tried on probably 15pairs of wedding shoes and the ONLY ones that fit comfortably are the Stuart Weitzmans I have my in siggy. They are the perfect heel height 3" which means no need to hem the dress... and they are comfy!!!

BUT... they are too white for my dress. And I am afraid to dye them b/c they are so expensive if it doesn't come out right I'm screwed.

What do I do? Any recs no where to look for shoes? Any thoughts on shoes that are wider? More comfortable???

I'm totally lost for what to do. For reference I'm going to post links to all the shoes I've tried on so you can see how many options I've exhausted...

what if you get a swatch of the same exact fabric of the shoes that fit comfortablely and test what the dye would do to them. if it works out then color the shoe... just a suggestion... I will look at the links you posted now...

Michy, that's what I did. I asked PoB for a swatch. I still haven't gotten one, I need to follow up with them... but I'm still nervous that they won't come out right... it's such an expensive thing... those shoes were over $300.. most expensive shoes I've ever purchased.

As for the ones I tried on, for me none of them worked. But don't use me as a bench mark, like I said my feet are funky. Very wide and very flat and very big. So none of those were comfy on me, and it sucks b/c I lOOOVED the nina ones but they would never have worked. My feet hurt after 30 seconds in them.

Jaime, Im no help in choosing a shoe, but maybe you can buy a cheap shoe that has the same color and fabric, have it dyed, and see how it comes out.. Just an idea!

    this is tough.

I love your siggy shoes but I'd hate for you to ruin them.

This is tough but I say continue the search - are there any dyeables you like? Not ideal but may work?

Maybe you should take them to a shoe dying place and get some advice from them? They may able to reassure you about how they'll look. What color were you thinking of dying them?
Also, how white, is too white?? Because you can't usually see your shoes so much, so maybe too white is not that bad?

i agree with pp who said take them to a shoe dying place.  Either that or take them to a store that sell shoes by this guy like bloomingdales and ask them what to do.

What about doing a colored shoe? or did you want the white or ivory? You can always try DSW or zappos and see what they have for you. I wouldnt want to ruin those shoes either or you can talk to a shoe store and see what they say.

I totally agree with Elena about bringing them to a store and asking them about dying them. Maybe they can give you a guarantee? Try doing that because if you buy another pair of shoes, it might not be the same quality as the SW's and you never know if it will turn out the same. Your shoe is smooth and doesn't have lots of grooves or straps or anything so I can't imagine it being difficult to dye them. It's not like they soak them, they use this sponge type thing. Go ask!
