do u have a good reception timeline guide?

hi, i am in the final stages of planning, going to meet w/our venue coordinator today i hope she has a timeline for me but since she is not technically a planner... i figured i'd see if anyone has a good timeline template or guide they've been using? our cocktail hour begins at 6:30, it's a 5 hour sit-down dinner reception. TIA!

She should be able to help you, as will your DJ if you are using one.  Our ceremony started later and our reception was shorter and we didn't do any special dances but here was ours: (also where I live, the receptions are over at a specified time so there is usually a grand exit).  Hopefully this will give you a place to start.

    7:30 Cocktails
8:10 B&G announced/first dance (we did our first dance immediately upon being announced)
8:15 Welcome by ILs (this could also be a blessing)
    8:20: Dinner begins
9:00 Dance floor open (DJ could have announced this but our guests just got up on their own.  Special dances could begin here or your first dance also if you haven't done it yet could "open" the dance floor)
9:30 Cake and toasts (an hour after dinner begins or is generally over)
10:30 Garter and bouquet toss (an hour after toasts)
    11:15 Last dance for guests
    11:20 B&G private last dance
    11:30 Exit

In Dallas, most venues give you a 4 hour open bar so generally receptions begin and end at specified times.
