RSVP dilemma

alright so we are having a choice of what the guest can pick, its on the response card, but how do i know which each couple is gettting. I did not put initial next to what each guest is getting. Is this a huge problem????

Re: RSVP dilemma

  • If you have time, I'd say get them reprinted, and add a sentence to say something like "Please initial next to the choice for each guest"

If you don't have time, you'll end up having to call people once you get RSVPs back, to know who wanted what choice. Good luck!
  • Call your venue. Do they need to know *exactly* what each person is ordering? Most of the time, they only need an estimate. They will come around and do table side ordering and most people will order the same thing that they chose on the RSVP card. But call your venue first and ask.

  • One girl was saying she had the line about "please initial" and noone did, so I dont think it will matter,  I agree I think most caterers just need an estimate of how many of each to make.

Although I think some places want you to put a little marker on the escort cards to the waiter knows which option to bring them...

    call ur caterer :/

  • Don't know if this is helpful for advice or not... butttt... Last year we went to a wedding where we had to choose our meal and by the time the wedding came around we couldn't even remember what we had chosen. :-/ I'd just guestimate and go from there... Dates and families can always switch plates if it is THAT big of a deal... Sooo... don't be overly worried. It will be fine!
  • So far I got 17 rsvp's back and only 5 people put their initials on them.  I figured I would just put Mr. and Mrs. So and So and then if one picked pork and one picked chicken...they can decide what they picked(I will have a different name tag for each choice).
