I was listening to NPR yesterday and they had a man on (can't remember his name) who was talking about Pit Bulls and he had adopted one of the MV dogs and the dog is now a therapy dog. 

There are actually several therapy dogs out of the MV group and I was like "ilove probably already know this, but I will share".

Random, I know.

    Fresh Air also interviewed that guy, as well as someone who had written a book about Vick's dogs and the person who headed up the rehab operation for the humane society who took them in.  It was a good show.

    EDIT - maybe it was Fresh Air that you heard it on.  At any rate, it was an interesting program.

    Yep, I do know all about that, but thanks for sharing anyway :)

    The groups who have taken some of the MV dogs have done amazing things with them. Therapy dogs, Ambassadogs (who travel with the rescue folks, doing seminars to kids and people all over the country), etc.

    I can't remember the name of the guy, but there is a book out this week, The Lost Dogs, which chronicles the events surrounding these dogs, the bust, their life with MV, and the aftermath. I've heard it's unbelieveable, even for those in rescue, who already "know" all of the facts, and the stuff surrounding dog fighting and rehabilitation.

    I've also heard MV had a chance to visit a few of the dogs recently, when he was in the town of one of the rescues, and do some positive press on them, and of course didn't. He's such a douche.

    Every time DK watches the Eagles play, I tell him that I wish someone would put MV in a room with all of the pitties that couldn't be rehabbed, and let them have at.
