Ok, this has been on my mind since about 4:45 am, so I may as well get it out.....

Well, I'm about 45 days from becoming a married woman, and my mother isn't here to share it with me......

My father, who I've only been speaking with for about 4 years is walking me down the aisle.  I've always desired a relationship with my father, and now I have a good one.......

Bittersweet, isn't it????

    Bittersweet indeed! I can relate, my mother isn't here to share my wedding day with me either. Early in my planning stages I would cry whenever I thought about the whole process without her. We all dream of our mother being there to help plan the wedding, and prepare on wedding day.

    FI's mom has offered to step in and do anything I need her or want her to do that my mother would have done.

    Its great you have your dad in your life now, it will definitely be a blessing having him there.

    Are you doing anything to honor your mom?

    I'm so sorry. That is bittersweet. At least he is going to be there though. And I'm sure she will be there in spirit :)
