Question for South Jersey

Hi Ladies,

I'm Stacy and usually post on the Philadelphia board but I live in South Philly and am looking for bridal shoppes near the Deptford Mall.  I am planning on heading to DB and would like to fit another store or 2 into the day.

Do you have any suggestions of other bridal shoppes around the mall area?  I googled and found The Bridal Manor.  Anyone have any opinions on this store?

TIA!  Happy Planning :-)

If you go to Marlton which is about 20 mins north of Deptford if you hop onto 295 north, you can hit up the Bridal Garden, Irma's (which is a really good store), Aimee Michelle's (which is okay, not very good in customer service), and Macy's which has a bridal department on the second floor. GL!

I've heard negative things about the bridal garden, did u have a good experience there?  Also do you know the price range at Bridal Manor?

I've heard great things about Irma.

    Thanks so much!

I went to the Bridal Garden and I had a fine experience. Nothing spectacular. I didn't find a dress that I loved there, there was one that I liked but that's about it. They weren't mean, but you need an appointment otherwise they won't give you the time of day. I went there for my bridesmaids. I had an appointment and they didn't do anything! The girl just sat there at the computer while we pulled the dresses. My girls didn't know how to put on the dress and they didn't help we had to figure it out ourselves.

I liked Irma's, they're really nice there and helpful. You can browse if you want to or describe the type of dress you want and they pull out dresses for you. I didn't find anything I liked there though. I ended up finding my dress at Wedding Belles in Northfield, near Atlantic City. Tina and Terry were extremely nice and helpful. They carried Enzoani which is one of the very few stores that do and that was the designer I ended up going with.

I don't remember what Bridal Manor's price range was but it was reasonable. I don't think there was anything more expensive than $1300-1400.

I recommend going in the Cherry Hill/Haddonfield/Marlton area. There is a David's Bridal on Rt 38 too that you can go to and also hit up Bridal Garden, Irma's, Jay West and Country Way Bridal. These are all great stores, with different styles...you should be able to find something at one of these, and it will make your day a lot easier without driving all over the place.

I purchased my dress at Bridal Garden, I worked with Gillian the manager and had a great experience. They pick the dresses out for you, but I described what I was looking, and I thought I was a bit vague....but she knew exactly what I wanted. I'm very picky and not easy to please at all so I was very impressed with how she nailed it. I also made a follow-up appointment to order the dress and select bridesmaid dresses (I got a huge deal on both my dress and BM dresses) and Gillian helped me out the whole time....and worked on selecting the right color BM dress and finding one to fit all the  body types. She is great! Very helpful!
