Invite and reply envelope addressing help please...

I'm working on my clear lables now so that when invites get here they will be ready to go! I have read that it is of course traditional to print by hand addresses and to not put bride and grooms names together until marriage. Oh well. Since we are pretty much hosting it, what should I put as a return address on the invite envelope? Heather ______ and Timothy_____ and the address? Ms. Heather ______ and Mr. Timothy ______ and the address? or just put the address with no names? AND for the reply card am I addressing it to just me? Put it in both of our names with Mr. and Ms. or no Mr. and Ms.? Both the invite and RSVP are non traditional and casual. TIA ladies!

Re: Invite and reply envelope addressing help please...

  • Depending on your labels, the Ms. and Mr. may not fit. We ran into a space issue so I just listed myself for the return address, even though we live together.

Same thing with the RSVPs. We were planing on only putting my name on them anyway but it barely fit. I couldn't imagine putting my FIs name on there too.
  • I wrote just our first names on the return labels since we lived together. Ditto for the reply card.
  • On my return label I just wrote our first names. For the families - I address it as Mr. & Mrs. John Smith

  • On our invites for the return address we just had address with no names.  On our reply cards we put just my name since I was taking care of RSVPs.

  • We have both of our names, no Mr or Mrs. It might be tight on an address label, though. Is there a larger one your can get OR would you wait until your envelopes get here and print them directly on the envelope. That's what we did and, while it took a little longer than a label would be, I think it looked a little more sophisticated than a label would.

  • Thanks ladies!! I ended up putting just our address on the back of the invite ( the label is 4 in wide so it fit on 1 line) and put my name on the reply card envelope so no Mr/Ms dilemma. Not sure if it was the "right thing" to do but oh well. Invites should be in tomorrow! Thanks again :)
