Artist at Reception

I've seen a few posts on photographer websites where the couple has a local artist at the wedding to create a painting of the reception.  I think it's a really cool idea but I would love to hear if any of you have used anyone in particular or seen it in person.  Sometimes ideas aren't as great in reality and I'm not sure it's worth the extra $$.  Any thoughts?  Have you used some you recommend?

    When I first started planning, I heard about wedding paintings done live by Frenchy and so a few that were really cool but when I contacted him for pricing and it was a bit high.  Depends on your budget and priorities.  I think for the same price, I'd splurge on a documentary film instead but I've included a sample below and here's his website if you want to find out more: http://www.frenchylive.com/
