I can't decide whether to wear a tiara or veil or both. I realize a veil is traditionally worn for a first time bride only but I would not be wearing it over my face (does this count...lol). This is a second wedding for bride and groom. We are having a casual garden wedding. BTW I am wearing a short wedding dress.

<div>I agree with this..I;m not a fan of tiaras and I'm not sure a veil would complement a short dress.</div>

I think if someone loves it, they should absolutely wear one. I wore one for my 40th birthday pink party.
But I am just not a fan for weddings. And I am guessing they are somewhat mandatory for someone that is marrying royalty, so my opinion is slightly swayed under those circumstances. I'm guessing the OP isn't marrying a prince though.

<div>My personal opinion - I'm not a huge fan of tiaras either! I think PP's suggestions of a birdcage veil would look great, but ultimately it depends on your opinion. Have you tried on either to see what works best with your face shape? To throw another possibility into the mix - what about a hair ornament or flower? Something like this might add some visual interest and sparkle if you don't want a veil (or even in addition to a veil): <a href="http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/sites/files/marthastewartweddings.com/ecl/images/content/pub/weddings/2010Q1/mw105260_0110_beautypins_xl.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/sites/files/marthastewartweddings.com/ecl/images/content/pub/weddings/2010Q1/mw105260_0110_beautypins_xl.jpg</a></div>
