Grooms Cake

Anyone know of an inexpensive Grooms Cake bakery? I want to get my FI a Denver Broncos cake for our rehearsal dinner but I don't want to pay $800 for a cake for 60 people...

Any thoughts?

    Try Aracelys - they do all kinds of cakes including shape cakes, etc.  they have a website which is aracelysbakeryinc.com

    I am doing a Superman cake from La Petite Sweet in Westmont. Their cakes are so good and reasonably priced!

    i got my honey's groom cake from central continental bakery in mount prospect.  it was PERFECT!

    i'll have to see if i can post a picture...he's a mets fan and the cake was a 3-D version of the old top hat and home run apple from shea stadium.  instead of the regular mets logo, it had the mets logo inserted into a grateful dead steal-your-face. it was under $300 for 75 people, but it could have been less if i hadn't gone for the (amazingly delicious) white chocolate mousse filling.  :-)

    one plus, if this matters to you/your guests...we're both vegetarian and they were able to do everything (except the logo, which we didn't eat, anyway) without fondant or gelatin so the cake was vegetarian.

    Not sure on the prices, but Tipsy Cake does cute themed cakes like this.
