E-Pic Outfit Coordination

Hey girl! I have returned from falling off of the face of the Earth! I hope all of you are doing GREAT; I can't wait to catch up on past posts and to see what y'all have been up to.

FI and I are getting our E-pics taken October 5th. Kind of pushing it to get pics to FI's cousin (she is a professional stationer and is doing our STD's/Formal invites as a wedding present) for her to complete the STDs and send them out. But I have full faith that they will be out before November 18th, 6 months from our wedding date. 

Now comes the REAL decision: What do we wear? We wanted to wait until the leaves started to change to give it a Fall vibe, which should work out perfectly here in Western VA...it was in the 60's yesterday! Our wedding colors are Eggplant/Aubergine and Ivory. I picked out a dark purple sweater and skinny jeans to wear with boots. FI has a grey pull over sweater and I'm thinking of getting him a purple/grey plaid shirt to wear underneath to tie in the purple. 

How did you girls pick out what you wanted to wear? Did you try to color coordinate with your FI? Is there an algorithm out there that I should know about?? LOL jk. I'd love to hear some of your ideas. Again, hope y'all are doing well :)

    lol no algorithm necessary. I had my outfits picked first. We only planned one matchy outfit which was our Gator gear. My dress kind of matched his shirt it wasn't planned but cute. He ended up bringing and no lie 2 diff semi formal shirts in case he changed his mind. Overall we had fun with it.

    FI and I are taking ours Oct 13. Our leaves here in Ohio should have changed by then too. We are doing 3 different looks.. 1 im wearing a celtics tshirt and hes wearing a spurs tshirt..we'll be playing on a basketball court basketball seasons starts in oct..perfect right 2 look..kinda dressy on a bridge 3 look..jeans and button up blouse/sweater.e boots him tennis shoes in a pumpkin patch..im getting excited right now lol .

    We didn't want to look too matchy matchy so we just went with the same color but different shades. I was so stressed about what to wear I went shopping several different times. I got two outfits and then only ended up wearing one because the sun was setting so fast I didn't have time to change.

    I know one thing I read is that solid colors are better than patterns, because patterns can be distracting in the photos. I think what your describing sounds good! I would say just make sure your comfortable in whatever you wear and make sure it fits right so you don't have to adjust as you try different poses.

    I chose my outfits first. When I picked his out I chose outfits that had the same color as mine but not too matching. His shirt under the white polo matched my blue sweater and his other shirt matched the designs in my tank top. I was worried our pictures either wouldn't match or be creepy matching lol.

    Yes, I am totally trying to avoid the creepy 'Pleasantville" factor!! Our STD's are dark purple/ivory calligraphy with our picture in the middle so I'm just trying to tie it all together! Thanks for all your tips!!!
