Attendant gifts?

So I'm stumped on what to get our attendants for their "gifts". I will have two bridesmaids, one of them is my 15 year old sister who is my MOH. My FI has a groomsman and a best lady. I really don't think any of them are into the cutesy tootsy monogrammed or engraved gifts, but I could be wrong.

What are you giving yours?

Re: Attendant gifts?

  • I am making each of my girls their own stationary set using vistaprint. and etching beer mugs for the guys with their first initial on them.

  • I'm not a big fan of the monogrammed stuff either. I'm getting my girls jewelry sets to wear during the wedding, probably from littlethingsfavors.com. My sister did the same for us a few years ago, and it was really nice. We didn't have to worry about what jewelry she wanted us to wear, and we could wear it again later.
  • I am giving all my girls (ages 26, 25, 20, 13, 5) jellewlery that they can wear if they want...pashimas in the wedding colors (also can use if they want..), but not requiring....and then a personal gift...Something I would get them if i was shopping for thier birthday, for the 3 older ones its probably going to be something creative for thier homes, for the 13 year old i got a scrapbooking kit and earrings, for the 5 year old I got a wedding barbie and a disney princess coloring book.

  • I gave my girls purses (for everyday use), pearl necklaces (not for the wedding), bath and body works sets and other stuff that I can not for the life of me remember. The bridesmaid's that actually liked me loved their gifts, my in-law bridesmaids didn't even want to stand up to grab them (I'm pretty sure they were just being bitchy in general though), so I don't know how much help I am! haha
  • Pashminas for the ladies, hard liquor for the guys
  • Good rule of thumb is to shop for each one individually.  Set a dollar amount, and then look for something that they would like-not wedding related.
Personally I hate all the cookie-cutter wedding gifts and monogrammed crap.
  • i did get monagramed bags because i won them in a contest but besides that jewerly and im getting each one a gift of something that they would personally like and i plan to get wedding day of emergency kits

  • I got each of mine a personal gift and then knitted them shawls since it would cool down the night of the wedding. H bought the guys their suits for the wedding and gave them some hard liquor as well. I agree that you should shop for them individually,  kind of like you would if they were having birthdays. And I included a card with each thanking them for being there for me, all their help, etc.
  • I did a tote for each person with their name, nothing wedding related, in their fav colour and a matching mug. The morning of we're doing coffee/tea/hot chocolate so they will get their mugs then. Besides that, I am doing something personal for each person within a set budget.
  • We bought for them like it was for their birthday - individual gifts. We got gift cards to their favorite stores, my brothers got Phillies tickets, different jewelry to NOT wear for the wedding (wedding jewelry was separate and also purchased by me).
