Do you think people set out to be kid entertainers? Or do they just get really stoned one day and end up in an orange spandex costume complete with a wig?
Are you talking about the guy on Yo Gabba Gabba? Because I saw him for the first time yesterday and was frightened. That can't be something he's proud to put on a resume, you know?
I know why Jack Black is on that show, though. Apparently he had a kid and wanted to make something his kid would love. I can respect that.
Two and Half Men episode where Charlie gets super drunk and starts making up songs to try and relate to his girlfriend's son. Then he turns into a kids song writer, Charlie Waffles. He can only perform when completely hammered.
Yo Gabba Gabba was who I meant but, Lauri Berkner, The Fresh Beat Band, the Wiggles all sorts of goofball crap. Or even the people that right for the shows. I just kind of wonder if someone said "I want to start a band for KIDS!"

This one. I was a 'kids entertainer' in part when I was working the museum-y circuit And yeah, I did birthday parties. But I did them w/ beakers and a tie-dye-labcoat and a schtick that was more Bill Nye/Steve Spangler than binky the clown :-P
having worked with some kid entertainers, they are not happy all the time. they turn it on for work only, and go back to being normal or total jerks or whatever their default face is.
I don't know for sure, but I think people like The Wiggles and Imagination Movers have a "calling" to be kids entertainers. They must be passionate about what they're doing otherwise I don't think they could stand it.
See, I think Kid Entertainers are usually crappy. I imagine the thought process is something like, "I spent $25K for this fcking drama degree, and I'm going to fcking use it!" And then they throw anything at the wall and watch what sticks.

6, there can be a lot of money in it if you're successful.
one of the wiggles was in "crowded house."
sophie, you go on "ignore" now. anyone who watched "two and a half men" cannot be someone who has opinions i want to hear.
yeah, if it hadn't paid for crap, it was my dream job.
And HMO - - I watch Two and A Half Men. Bite me.
