Re: RECEPTION CARD WORDING

  • I'm not including any wording of a dress code since our wedding isn't Black Tie.

I think your wording is just fine :-)

  • I wouldn't include the dress code on the invitation unless it's black tie required.

Other than that it sounds fine.

  • This is the Reception card and not the invite so I think it is fine. Plus I know a lot of people ASK about a dress code so including it feels weird but from what I uderstand, it helps.

  • I'm not including this is mine and I would think people know how to dress. The wording is fine.

<div>If you're just looking for suits, it'd be "semi-formal." Black tie optional means tuxes or dark suits and can be confusing if they're not sure if most people will be in tuxes or not. As rdr said, I would skip the dress code unless it's black tie required. The rest looks good.</div>

  • Once again I think this is a regional thing. My wedding is in the evening at a golf club and I know people will still show up in jeans and shorts. Hell at FBIL wedding family memebers dressed their kids in wife beaters and swim trunks..  A LOT of people don't get it.
However yes, the semi-formal or dressy is more the way to go!
