ceremony & reception site ideas

I would like to have my wedding and reception at a garden, somewhere over looking the beach or intercoastal water way,or lakes near the area. I'm on a 5,000 dollar budget for the whole wedding. Open minded please do share ideas.

    I am getting married at the Surf City Center in a little over 2 weeks. I think it only cost us $300 to rent for the entire day.  I also recommend the Topsail Island Historical Museum.  They are on the same island, but the museum is on the intercoastal water way as opposed to the beach.  It was also priced well.  We just wanted to be on the beach.

    We were on a tight budget too, $6000.  So I completely understand.  Both places were really nice and definitely in your price range.  I recommend going to visit them both though before making any judgements.  The photos online don't really do either place justice.

    There are also some nice gardens in the Raleigh/ Durham area, but I am not sure on the prices since we wanted a beach wedding and didn't look much here.
