Invitations inexpensive places? online places?

Hi I am curious what are some inexpensive places locally in Westchester or online to get wedding invitations etc.? Is it better to go locally? order online? what is cheaper? Thanks

I wanted to order from a store, but the prices weren't worth it*.

    We ordered ours from

    www.theamericanwedding.com

and were very pleased! They also give free samples so you can feel the paper weight of the invitations you are considering.

(*I used to work at a place that sold invitations, so I knew the discount that can be given. and I wasn't finding that when I asked around. The place I used to work stopped selling invites, so I couldn't order from them. But I was looking for some discount close to what they offered. And couldn't find it.)

We got samples from American Wedding, Rexcraft, Carlson Craft (an online store) and one other company before making our decision.

I really had no time to look in person and when i worked in a party store in HS, we sold them but i figured it had been 20 years, the stuff online is probably just as good and more options.

I, like Terri, got samples from a ton of sites as well as some catalogs too.  i wanted a fall themed invite and wanted it to be different.  Once I found the one I wanted (it was a Jean M. invite but not available on their site),  I googled it and found this site:

    1st-class-wedding-invitations.com

They had exactly what I wanted and at the cheapest price.  I had them send me a sample.

They were a pleasure to work with and really worked with me to get the proof right (within a day no less!)  - i need to put the menu options on my response card and some of them were long names.  From order to receipt it was like two weeks.  My wedding was in October and i ordered and received them mid-late July.

This is the one I went with ... the green was much deeper than the picture portrays (but I had the sample so I was all set)...everyone loved them!
