So, I'm just starting my search for a photographer, and I'm utterly baffled.  There are just so many of them out there.  I just need a good starting point.

How did you go about finding your photographer?

    Our photographers were reccomended to us by a friend. I would definitely reccomend checking them out. It is C. Baron Photography! They were without a doubt the best wedding related decision we have made!

    We fell in love with a photographer that did a friends wedding but then she moved to China and we had to start our search over.  I looked through the vendors on The Knot and googled photographers in the Houston area and set up lots and LOTS of interviews.  We wanted someone that we felt comfortable with so the interviews were super important.  It was a lot of work but well worth it because we LOVE our photographer and have already decided we want her to pretty much take all of our important pictures for the rest of our lives.  Her name is Taylor Lord (I think she is on The Knots vendor list now) and she is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  You can check out her blog here: http://www.taylorlordphotography.com/blog/ .  Good luck!!

    I would recommend Courtney Moore Photography.

    I went about my search by asking for prices first. I was terrified that I would fall in love with pictures and then not be able to afford it. Once I got the prices I looked at their portofolios and went from there.

    There is a lady who I have booked for my wedding next year and she lives in Katy.. Her work is awesome!!! If you have a Facebook look under Snapped with Love Photography. I can't remeber her website right off hand. When you see her work you will be amazed and her price is unbelievable. Please make sure you tell her Kim Blaine referred you. She only charges $750. She photographs everything from the time you start getting dress for your wedding to the end of the reception when you leave. There are no additional charges and her deposit is only $100.00. Also if you have ever seen the advertisement for the charm bracelets with two people holding hands at James Avery that is an example of her work as well. She also do Bridal shoots and Engagement Photo shoots at a very reasonable price. I think $150.00 for the first additional shoot then $120.00 or $100.00 fro each additional one.     We haven't booked yet, but I was recommended Erica Moncada www.ericamoncada.com from a co-worker, and she is really reasonable, and the pics on her website are really cute

    Check out Lab L Arts, their website is http://www.lablarts.com/(it takes a little bit to load) A friend of mine used them awhile back and we came across them at the Bridal Extravaganza last month.  They are really great!!   Good luck to you!
