What upgrades did you get just for being on your HM?

For those of you who have already been on your honeymoon - when you told people about being on your HM, did you get any freebies just for being newlyweds? Just curious!

We got a few free drinks from people but that was about it since most of the people in Aruba were on their HM as well.

Just the free champagne and fruits that they give to everyone on their HM. We went to Jamaica, and most of the people at our resort were on their HM.

We went to Spain and rented an apartment rather than a hotel room. Across the street were some nice gentlemen who had their instruments out one night. In passing, we told them we were on our honeymoon and they started playing and singing to us. It was really neat. And I think we got a free drink at a bar one night.

We went to Montego Bay Jamaica at an AI Sandals resort. We got a free bottle of Appleton Rum, a bottle of champagne, breakfast in bed one morning and a cute little note from the hotel along with a single rose for me. It was really special, however, when booking our HM, our TA made sure we had the HM package. A few of the things the hotel decided to throw in for us, which was nice.

We still have the champagne sitting in our fridge (I couldn't believe it made it back safely with us), maybe we will have to break it out for New Years or our first anniversary.

That's cool about Sandals, is the honeymoon package alot extra and would you say it is worth it? My FI and I are going to St Lucia and debating on getting it. We want to do some of the Red Spa treatments and also the adventures which all costs extra so might just do that instead.. what do you think? thanks!

We stayed at the Sandals Regency in St. Lucia and our TA has alot of pull at the resort the manager knows her personally so not sure what we would have gotten without her but we recived alot of perks.

A double upgrade at our hotel in Santorini (Andronis Luxury Suites). It was amazing!! Plus wine and a beautiful fruit platter.

We got the best advice any wife would love to hear. "Happy Wife = Happy Life"

We also got free sparkling cider in our hotel. They told us we would have champagne waiting, and we were a little surprised to see Welches' Best.

We just got back from Secrets Maroma Beach in Rivieria Maya..although it seemes like 70% of the guests were HMers we got:
-Bottle of champagne & rose petals throughout our room when we arrived
-Coupon for breakfast in bed (we never used) with bottle of champagne
-Dinner on the beach ($200 regularly)
-25 minute massages + facials...but DH didn't want the facial, so they gave up 50 minute massages instead...amazing!!

The later 3 upgrades/gifts were because we were HMers and had booked more than 5 nights.
