Patriot Hills Hotel Block Suggestions

Hi all,

My fiance and I are getting married next October at Patriot Hills in Stony Point, NY. Their recommended hotel for room blocks is Comfort Inn in Nanuet. We went to check it out and didn't love the bridal suites. We are going to have to get ready there and were looking for something bigger room-wise. Does anyone have any suggestions of other hotels in Rockland County where we can block off rooms for everybody, and get ready at?

Thanks!

Ask about the bridal suite on the 4th floor of the Comfort Inn. It has a conference room attached to it, so we had the makeup artist in there, the hair stylist off the kitchen and we had plenty of room. That's the only hotel we had blocks at but there are tons of hotels on 59.

We are using the Double Tree on Rt 17 in Mahwah.  We looked at a lot of hotels including the Pearl River Hilton and a few others on RT 17.  We liked Double Tree the best.  (Free warm cookies at check in!)  Good luck!

Shelly, how long did it take you to get to Patriot Hills? I didn't think of going into Bergen County. Did you take 202 the whole way and just avoid Palisades alltogether?

Kristin- It's weird, we asked if there was a bigger suite option and they said no. We will most certainly go back and ask to see the 4th floor one! Thanks.

I'm 99% sure it was the 4th floor, but it's been almost two years, so ask for the one with the conference room attached so you don't sound silly because some girl on theknot told you the one with the 4th floor had a conference room.

They recently renovated the Holiday Inn in Orangeburg, which is easy off and on the Palisades Parkway, straight up to exit 14 for Patriot Hills. I haven't seen their suites, but my friend stayed in for her wedding night and was very happy.

I just got married at PH on July 30th. We had a room block at the Comfort Inn in Nanuet and I had a bridal suite on the third floor. There were ten of us getting our hair done there by two different stylists and we had plenty of room. :)

We used Comfort Inn as well and had a large suite and all the girls got ready there.  We had a positive experience with them.

Jane - It takes about 30 minutes I believe.  No commercial vehicles are allowed on the Palisades Parkway so we have to use 202.

Edit: No commercial vehicles are allowed on the PIP unless they have a permit.

I got married at Patriot HIlls almost 3 years ago (Wow!!) I loved it BTW it was fabulous!

We booked rooms at the HIlton in Woodcliff lake, NJ.  It seems far but it was about 25 minutes to get from PH to the hotel.  The hotel was AMAZING! The rooms were awesome, the staff was awesome everything was perfect! The rooms were about $120 a night.  We had a lot of out of town guests so I needed a bigger hotel.

Thanks for the link Shelly! Seems if you pay $20 you can get a permit, but 30 minutes isn't too bad either way. I'm also not sure how easy getting the permit is besides paying $20/vehicle.

I don't think it's that easy, because otherwise I'm sure our bus and limo companies would have mentioned it. Of course that's just my thought, I don't know for sure, but for $20 I think they would have mentioned it.

FWIW, we had two limos - one standard lincoln and a stretch SUV. The lincon was allowed on the PIP, but the photog easily convinced the driver of the SUV to take the PIP twice, saving us a load of time.

Our shuttle bus took the long way.
