Jacksonville Venue

Can anyone recommend a venue in Jacksonville for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception? Our guest list is 50 max. Having trouble finding something...date is only 7 months away!!!!

Off the top of my head, I think these locations would work for an intimate wedding:
    -Jacksonville Main Library (downtown)
    -Cummer Museum & Gardens

    Good luck :)

Cooper Hall at Camp Blanding (if you can find a military sponsor) It's small and it has exposed ceiling beams and wood floors if you're into the southern look of things.

I got married at The Cummer and while it was my absolute dream location, the galleries might be a bit large for a guest list of only 50. I had a guest list of 130 and 90 RSVPS and it was perfect. It's an awesome location, but the rental is pretty high for a small intimate wedding & they book up fast.

With that said, have you checked here?:  http://ljpark.com/

We looked at Cummer but they said they were booked for most of 2011.

Try the Fairfield Inn and Suites Marriott on Lenoir. They have a beautiful banquet room. I went looking at it the other day and they only charge you $850.00 for the entire day. However, you have to get your own catering service.

I am currently looking as well.  One Ocean has a beautiful room for a smaller reception.  I would say try Queen's Harbour, but when I went for a tour there, the coordinator was a little "over-the-top" trying to hard for me...but the room was pretty.  Oh and try Sunbreeze I think it's called on the base....good luck.
